Check in was very easy, and even though you have to park on the street I found no problems parking in the area.
Let me preface this by stating that we came during a heat wave in LA, on the day we arrived to the apartment it had been 95-100 degrees all day. So if you are visiting this apartment during the cooler months, feel free to ignore the majority of my review. When we first entered the apartment it was 100+ degrees inside. This is when we realized our fatal mistake, the unit does not central AC, and only has AC units inside the two bedrooms. So no AC in the main living room, kitchen, or bathroom. The AC units are very small and only cool down the bedrooms they are in, and to do this you have to leave them on 24/7. Our first day/night was absolutely miserable because even with all the windows open and both ACs on, it took a full 24 hours for the apartment to cool down AT ALL. We left the ACs on the entire time of our stay, and I would estimate by the time we left the bedroom temperatures had dropped to 65 degrees, while the rest of the apartment stayed around 80 degrees.
After those first 24 hours, the apartment was SLIGHTLY cooler than the outside temperature. Essentially the living room/kitchen was unusable due to the heat, we were forced to stay inside the bedrooms at night. During the day we opted to spend our downtime at a Starbucks instead of staying in the apartment.
The other huge problem we noticed was the water temperature in the shower. It must be broken or something because we were only able to get scalding hot water, or freezing cold water out of the shower. No amount of adjusting the faucet handle made a difference, these were the two shower options.
I hate to leave such a bad review but due to these problems our stay was pretty miserable and a waste of money. If you are staying in cooler months then your experience would be completely different than ours! Overall the apartment looks exactly like the pictures, nice clean furniture and kitchen. It is not cramped at all either, and the master bedroom is nice. The location is also close to Noho and we had no issues exploring the area near the apartment. Also the lady that lives under this apartment was very sweet. :)
