John is a historic structure restorer and has worked on the historic Kadish Pollman house extensively . He and his family are also next door neighbors in the queen anne victorian home. Some initial interaction with clients is usually helpful to orient guests with this 5000 sq ft. historic home.

I highly recommend this location and John specifically for anyone visiting the Baker City region. Although we came here for the eclipse, we are seriously considering returning to the lovely house again as it was such a pleasant place to be and we barely scratched the surface of the things to do in the area. John is friendly and is a great source of local information as well as historical information of relevance to the house itself. This location has a wonderful outdoor patio which was a lovely place to hang out with friends and family, and the house is conveniently located within a short walk of the historic Baker City downtown area.

Devin and his group stayed at our historic home in Baker City for the eclipse. They were a great group to have, friendly and personable! The home was left in great shape! A real pleasure to host such people. We welcome Devin and his people any time, and highly recommend them to all!!(URL HIDDEN)Thank you, John. @ The KadishPollman House.

The host was great! John was very informative and friendly. Was there at check-in to give us the personal tour of the home.

I stayed here for two nights with my husband, two children and my parents while touring Eastern Oregon. John was a wonderful host and clearly loves his city and this home. He even rented it to us last minute when our other accommodations fell through. My kids (6 & 9) had fun exploring such an old home and the architecture is truly amazing. The house is grand, clean, full of quirky character, and on a quiet, tree lined street a short walk to downtown restaurants and shops. It kind of felt like we were staying in my grandparents' house, and it is still definitely in the process of being renovated (so might not be great for toddlers). There was no wifi or AC, but we were fine without it. Overall, we were really happy we stayed here.

We rented this home for the Baker City Cycling Classic and had 15 people staying here. Check in was super easy and there is even a garage with tools, air, and water that we were able to use to keep the bikes in perfect working order. This is an excellent property for a large group! John is INCREDIBLY friendly and knows all the history of the house. John is painstakingly going through the home to restore it to its original glory. The kitchen is well equipped and large enough to cook for the group you have there, and the dining area is huge, which was fantastic for our large group. John even came over and pulled out a 60 cup coffee maker for us! There is one shower and a bath, so getting through the bathrooms can take some planning, but everything worked perfectly.
