Drumbeg is a beautiful, spacious and private detached cottage in the heart of Cairngorm National Park, close to Aviemore and local amenities. The cottage boasts an extensive 0.7 acre garden, with a hot-tub (from May 2017) surrounded by stunning forest. The recently renovated property has large living spaces, 4 bedrooms, high-spec kitchen, 2 stylish bathrooms and utility/drying room. Drumbeg is ideal for both families & groups alike, for a relaxing or outdoor activity holiday in the Highlands.

Le logement

We have a large and beautiful garden which is fully enclosed (with gates) and secluded from the roadside – ideal for children.

The living space includes a sun porch & conservatory in addition to the main living room which gives great views to the forest, garden and hills beyond. The living room has 3 sofas, a baby grand piano and an open log fire. There is a large selection of DVDs, books and games available to guests, as well as satellite TV.

The kitchen is brand new with top spec. Bosch appliances. The kitchen has an induction hob, main oven, microwave combi-oven, warming drawer, fridge and freezer, spacious wine cooler and dishwasher. The utility room has a Bosch washing machine, Bosch condensing tumble dryer and another sink.

The dining area is situated in the south-facing rear conservatory, filled with light and seating for 10. There is direct access from the kitchen and living room, and French doors onto the garden patio.

We have a large family bathroom (bath, rainfall shower, bidet, toilet, wash basin, warming towel rail) and a smaller shower room with toilet and warming towel rail.

We have a large driveway with off road parking for up to 5 cars.

The house has oil fired central heating throughout.

Guests will have full use of all the house and gardens, except for 2 locked areas - the attic and garage.

If we are in the area we will meet the guests otherwise we would arrange keys and info pack with the guest directly. Guests have full run of the house.
There is a keystore for late arrivals

Autres remarques

Recently the press has been talking about the poor water quality in Aviemore - luckily we have a private water supply which is free from the high chlorine

We are happy to discuss any special requirements, please feel free to get in touch with us directly.

We do not have disabled access as there are steps at the front and rear doors of the house, however once inside all accommodation is on one floor with easy access throughout.

We have a large driveway with off road parking for up to 5 cars.

A beautiful house in a great location. The kitchen is the best of any AirBnB I've used (the kitchen knives were actually sharp!). Everything was well appointed and very clean when we arrived. The beds were very comfortable and the linens very good quality. We loved the hot tub and fireplace. The house was large for the 5 of us, but it gave everyone as much privacy as they wanted, and had plenty of space for us to socialize and eat together. The location is great, a short drive outside town, but very close to some hiking trails and lots of rural countryside all around.

Drumbeg is a lovely place to stay. It has absolutely everything you need for a five star break. The kitchen is top quality, very comfortable beds and a beautiful lounge with piano. The garden is very large and private and we enjoyed the hot tub too. I'd highly recommend this property and Ian is very helpful and was always available to answer any questions. He is a great host. Many thanks for a brilliant stay. It was faultless.

Beautiful and brand new house with hottub and all other amenities. Also had a baby chair which helped us a lot with our two year old. The garden is very nice. Definitely amongst the best country-side homes to stay in. Will come by for longer duration next time.

One of the best house i have stayed. Ian and his wife is great host and they went extra mile to make us comfortable. The house is huge and has great garden. They have thought of every small small things one needs . I would recommend this property to any one who is looking to stay near aviemore.

This property, is comfier, cheaper and way more fun than the nearby Hilton. We have immensely enjoyed a BBQ in the garden, a games night by the fire in the lounge and the morning views from all of the bedrooms. The landlord has created a space to be enjoyed, from the modern kitchen to the comfy beds and marble bathrooms. We have enjoyed the surroundings as well, we went cycling through the woods, played with kites in the Loch Morlich beach and the kids enjoyed Fun Factory in the Hilton. A big Tesco is 2,4 miles away with a few restaurants around it. We will certainly do our best to come back again.
