Being able to rent an affordable private room with shower and toilet, refrigerator, television, and wifi access makes Ivyhouse a great place to stay whether it's short term or a bit longer, depending on your needs. I stayed for two weeks and really loved this place. It's a bit of a walk from Hoegi station, but once there, it's convenient to get to anywhere in Seoul, especially the major tourist spots. Ivyhouse is very close to Kyunghee University so the streets are bustling with students, residents, and there are plenty of cheap but delicious restaurants all around within walking distance.
Although it's small, you're probably not going to be spending most of your vacation time in the room anyway, so it's perfect for the R&R hours you need. Those with some Korean skills will do a bit better during check-in as the ajumma there does not speak English, but she is super kind and goes out of her way to help and make sure guests are comfortable. She was able to move me into a better room 2 days into my 15 day stay. Again, those with some Korean ability will do better. Foreigners often didn't follow some of the rules of the guesthouse, but then again, all the rules were written in Korean only.
