This light-filled 4BR 3BA home is a quick walk to the UC Berkeley campus, bustling College Avenue, and public transit. From the moment you step in, you'll notice the ambiance and the understated elegance.
On the lower floor is a large living room, a formal dining room, and a well-appointed kitchen whose back doors open to a great back yard, perfect for the California sun.
The four bedrooms are all upstairs.
We can host up to 5 unrelated guests, and up to 9 family members.
Everything about this bright, large, and elegant place will make you feel at home. The front entrance has a large porch with comfy chairs for enjoying a drink. The living room has magnificently large windows and opens to the dining room, both of which are comfortable and elegant. Beyond the dining room is a well-appointed kitchen with modern appliances, plus an informal dining area.
The kitchen opens to the back yard, which has a trampoline play structure, and a deck with chairs. It's a great place for kids to play and adults to entertain.
Going back to the main entrance, on your left is the stairwell leading to the upstairs bedroom. The master bedroom is on the right and has a comfortable king-sized bed, ample closets and drawers, and a bright bathroom. The next bedroom has a full-sized bed. The third bedroom has a twin-sized bunk bed, and the final bedroom has a twin bed.
The basement has a TV watching area and a great play center for kids -- a table, chairs, and arts and crafts. There is also a sofa bed that can sleep two.
Note that we prefer to host five unrelated guests -- one per bedroom, plus one on the basement couch. For families, we can accommodate up to nine: two in the master bedroom, two in the next bedroom, another two in the third bedroom, one in the final bedroom, and two on the basement sofa couch.
While we've listed our home as "Suitable for infants", note that what we mean is that while we absolutely welcome infants, the home is not toddler-proof. For instance, we don't have stair gates, nor do we have plastic protectors in the electric outlets. Also, we don't have a crib.
Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to most of the home -- the living and dining areas, the kitchen, the bedrooms, the bathrooms, the back yard, and the basement. There are a few areas we ask you not to use: the basement storage, the cabinetry in the living and dining area, and the office off the master bedroom.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
The owners will be gone during your stay, but the property manager is always available.
This is a residential neighborhood, and we ask our guests to respect its character. Guests are welcome to have their own guests over, but we ask that no more than 10 people be at the home at a time -- including the guests. (For instance, if you're a party of 6, you could have 4 guests over.) We also ask that you be inside after 9pm.
We also ask that you not host parties. Dinner guests -- completely fine, but no parties.
Parking can be tight. Not uncommon in this area, we don't have a garage, but there is parking for two (tandem-style) in the narrow driveway. If you have more than two cars, the others will need to park on the street. If you're having guests over, please be respectful of the neighbors' parking needs, perhaps parking a block or two away.
For privacy and safety, the map pin is not accurate. We are of course happy to reveal the address to you as we discuss whether this home is suitable for your group.

I know it's a stereotype here ... but I have a high-tech background and a life-long penchant for real estate. I have my broker's license (though I don't actively buy or sell homes), and that license enables me by CA law to manage other people's properties. I now manage about 15 properties. I'm slowly growing my business, focusing on quality rather than quantity. I pride myself on providing a top-notch white-glove service to both my clients (homeowners) and guests, and I'm slowly building out my team.
Happily settled in Silicon Valley for 15 years. Wow, time flies!
Favorite food ... tough question. I love almost everything, but I have a particular weakness for French, Vietnamese, and Cajun.
I'm a very respectful host -- I love to help guests out with as much information as they need about my place and about things to do, but also give them all the space they want. Communication is key -- in both directions!
Five things I can't live without? Favorite music and movies? Good grief! This is AirBnb, not Match!
