The entire house will be accessible to guests. My property manager will notify you with key access information once our liability waiver is signed.
Skiing - We have four mountains near the house. Beware the roads are really winding.
Snow Valley - 15 minutes
Snow Summit - 40 minutes
Bear Mountain - 45 minutes
Mountain High - 1 hour
Snow Play – There are a few places you can go tubing.
Snow Drift Tubing Park – 15 minutes
Big Bear Snow Play – 40 minutes
Although they all have great snow making machines you should check the weather to make sure there is enough snow. We also have rental shops in Lake Arrowhead if you want to avoid the crowds.
Jensens Cedar Glen – This is closest to our property. Although VERY convenient it’s lacking in wine selection and can be very pricey. THIS IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION NOW.
Stater Brothers in The Village – This is going will be the low cost option and just like any Vons, Safeway or Ralphs.
Jensens Blue Jay – This is a higher end store and the furthest away from the house. It has your organic and specialty selections.
Concerts – There are fun cover band concerts every Saturday afternoon between Memorial Day and Labor Day. There is a garden set up for enjoying with a dance floor or you can just stroll the village while listening.
Dining – There is a Mexican place called El Papagayos and pizza place called Lake Arrowhead Village Pizza and Arcade. There is also a great wine store The Grapevine that offers food and Rocky Mountain chocolate shop. Our favorite breakfast place is called the Belgian Waffle House on the water. Of course, there is McDonalds too.
Kid Rides – There is a merry go round, go karts, bumper cars, etc available to any visitor. They charge per ride and it tends to be not that crowded at times. There is a play area right near it that is being re-done right now. Santa’s Village had kid rides too. Check their website for hours and costs (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)a(URL HIDDEN)
Water Sports – There is a great outfit that operates from the dock at the Village. They will take toddlers to adults and teach them to wakeboard or ski or just take them if they already know how. The cost is pretty competitive.
25 minutes away they recently invested a large water park. There is a long slide and floating slides and climbing gym type stuff. There is a fee for the park. Smaller kids have a small water park available to them but can be teased if they are not tall enough to access the bigger one. The kids have to be at least 48’ to go in the waterpark. Water pedal bikes, sail boats, etc is available to all visitors as well.
There are limited restaurant selections around the lake so we typically BBQ at the house. Here are a few of our favorites when we dine out:

We love to travel! We have traveled all over Europe, Asia, South America and Africa. We love to ski and sail while on vacations in the US or abroad. We invested in our home in Lake Arrowhead to have an escape from LA and to enjoy the lake.
