The Old Smithy is a beautiful traditional stone cottage right next door to Riverside, a modern, newly built lodge. For large gatherings, the Smithy and Riverside can be booked together making them ideal for extended families or 2 families holidaying together. Each house has everything you need and there is a small gate leading between the 2 gardens. The spacious open plan living area in Riverside is the perfect space for guests from both lodges to enjoy with a large table which seats 12 people.
The Old Smithy is a charming cottage with an open plan living area arranged around a huge stone fireplace with wood burning stove. It has views out across the south facing garden, home to a 150 year old Oak Tree. The large master bedroom has a king sized bed, TV and DVD player and en-suite shower room. There is a large family bathroom with bath and a pretty second double room with TV and DVD player with garden views. Up the attic stairs is ‘the cabin;’ a perfect hideaway for older kids with two comfy single beds, bean bags and twinkling stars.
Riverside Lodge will be finished in May at which point we will add the complete photos (the photos that we have included at the moment are work-in-progress photos). It is a stunning architecturally designed luxury lodge which has been designed to take full advantage of the stunning views along the river and across to the mature pines beyond. The heart of the lodge is the large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with plenty space for 12 people to dine. As if the views from this room were not enough, this impressive room is double height with stunning antler chandeliers hanging down in between the exposed oak beams. The room extends down to a cosy seating area with large screen TV with Netflix and a playstation arranged around the cosy wood burning stove. The king and twin bedroom share the large family bathroom with stunning sky light. The large master has an en suite bathroom and a wall mounted TV.
