The fenced common grounds are like a park, with a beautiful private pool, lawn, and a playground. Close to golf and walk to restaurants, shopping. Lots of bike trails (bicycles on property). This is a fully licensed rental (I pay taxes on the rental income). Monthly rental in winter. TWO WEEKS in high season (S-S)

Le logement
This is not a typical rental property. The apartment has been an exclusive home for many years until now, when I decided to share it during part of the year with guests. The apartment is furnished to the highest standard and has been custom built (not like any other in Rio Mar). The kitchen has all appliances one might require for a short or longer stay.

The dining area comprises of a table which expands to seat 8 comfortably. There are 6 chairs.

A sliding door off the dining area leads to an east facing large balcony overlooking the pool and the grounds. The balcony is equipped with two large lounging chairs with ottomans and a coffee table. During the hottest months it is a refuge from the scorching mid day sun. It is lovely to watch the sun come up over the sea in the mornings.

The space is very open, with a large and airy common space, American style kitchen, two large bed bedrooms, and two luxurious bathrooms. Two TVs. The lounge entertainment system consists of a 65 inch curved smart TV, and a home theater. The fiber optic 100 mbps internet is available at all times and can be used to stream Netflix or Prime movies directly onto TV. There is an HD SKY box present and a large satellite dish on the roof. Currently I am not subscribing to SKY, but all the "FreeView" channels are available. Spanish TV is available via HD streaming. With the high speed internet I just added a new TV box with 1000+ international channels (Scandinavian, German, French, Russian, Polish, etc. ) and “on demand” movies and series. The bedroom has a 55 inch smart TV with all international channels.

The very large and comfortable leather reclining sofa can be used as a single bed. I have a single foam topper to make it more comfortable, although it is not intended for longer stays.

Both bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, drawers, night stands, and table lamps. The blue room is a queen sized bed (165 cm) and the gray room is the double sized bed (135 cm).

A staircase leads to a landing, where my private wardrobe is located as well as cushions for the outdoor furniture and the ironing board. The landing opens up to a huge terrace/solarium with its own outdoor shower and a granite countertop kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a full size executive gas grill. The roof is equipped with luxurious lounge beds and a dining table. The roof space receives morning to afternoon sun, with a welcome shade in part of it during the hot afternoon. In cooler months, the sun can be enjoyed on the beds most of the day. I just installed a motorized large shade to be used during the hot summer days.

On the roof and balcony there are nice plants for your enjoyment. You will be expected to keep them watered during your stay.

Heating and Air Conditioning are all modern split units and available in all rooms and the lounge.

Four bicycles and helmets are available on the property for a small use fee. Child car seats are available for a small fee. A child bike seat is available.

A portable baby crib, high chair, and baby bath are available.

This is my home away from home and it is fully and luxuriously equipped. Guests have access to the entire space with the exception of the wardrobe upstairs.

In the peak season (July - August), I ask for bookings of two weeks or longer Saturday to Saturday. If that does not quite fit your plans, please ask and maybe we can adjust on a case by case basis. There is a 50 Euro check-in fee for stays shorted than two weeks in high season and for stays shorted than 5 days in low season. Those are paid directly to the property manager at check-in. Last minute discounts may be available - ask.

I will rent my apartment for the winter for 3-4 months. Ask me about it if you are interested, as my calendar only shows next 6 months. Winter rentals have deeply discounted monthly rent, but the guest will need to reimburse me for utility bills. The billing is based on actual invoices received from the electric company and water company. There is no access to the meter.

If you are new to AirBnB and don’t have a full profile and reviews, I ask that you send me background information about yourself and your traveling companions before you can book. If you have references from other rental websites that would be helpful.

In most cases guests would be welcomed in person.

The grounds, as you can see in the photos, are beautiful and with secured restricted access.

The property is a 5 minute walk to a "blue flag" beach of Playa del Rio and Mil Palmeras. (search on internet "Playa de Mil Palmeras" for excellent reviews). The beach is equipped with an excellent beach bar/restaurant which is open most of the year and a rental for stationary parasols and lounge chairs during the summer months. Walking north, across the dry river bridge, Mil Palmeras community has everything a guest might require, supermarket, pharmacy, clinic, multitude of restaurants and services, as well as a street market (daily in high season, weekly otherwise). In the southern direction, the very Spanish town of Torre de la Horadada, welcomes with a lively Pueblo Latino, variety of restaurants around the main town square and the port. There are a couple of supermarkets, one just a short walk way. The coast is lined with sandy cove beaches, all accessible by a bicycle, walk, car, bus. Car is not an absolute must as most everything is a walk away.

We are located at the border of Costa Blanca (North - Alicante) and Costa Calida (South - Murcia/Cartagena). This makes it a good location for sight seeing excursions. The famous Mar Menor healing mud baths are only 10 minutes away. You can bike there easily. There are kilometers of biking paths (most are new) and you can bike from home almost to the tip of La Manga! There are four bikes on the property.

Let's not forget this is a golfers dream come true. We are literally surrounded by golf courses, the closest one is the lovely Lo Romero in Pilar de la Horadada. There are golf shops and golf booking places nearby. I am a golfer myself and can assist with suggestions. I have played on most of the closer and farther courses.
