This 1,100 square foot cabin/apartment is an open concept, one bedroom with a cathedral ceiling and lots of windows looking out over the lush forest. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook meals along with condiments, drinks, snacks, coffee & tea and a few basic breakfast items. Paper products, kitchen towels, bath towels, linens and cleaning supplies are also included.
The space is large and roomy but is limited to four guests maximum. There is a one bedroom loft with a queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa downstairs in the living room. There is a gas grill on the deck along with an outdoor table & chairs with an umbrella. Sit and enjoy a cup of coffee on the couch while enjoying the gas logs. Take a walk through the woods on one of our mile plus trails. Stargaze at night with no light pollution and not another house in sight. Listen to the owls, the doves and other wildlife from your private deck. There is also a hammock in the trees & a double swing to enjoy the sunset. Pets are considered if well trained. Please message me for approval.
We do not have wifi in the apartment but cell reception is not a problem for most nationwide carriers (4G).
Accès des voyageurs
Guests will have access to all outdoor areas on the property including the main deck for viewing sunsets, a fire pit, and walking trails.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
We live in the main house on the property and are happy to assist with any needs of our guests.
There is a guest book in the cabin with directions to local attractions, restaurants, and grocery stores. We are in a remote area but are about 35 minutes from the closest large city of Boone.
If you are arriving in the winter months (November - March) please be aware that it may snow. (We love snow!!) We scrape our gravel road, however, there still may be an inch or so on the road. AWD or 4-wheel is advised in bad weather. The main roads in the area are always clear to accommodate the snow skiers but secondary roads can be a challenge.
- Please contact me if considering bringing a pet for prior approval
- We ask that you drive slowly past the first house on our gravel road. They provide us a right of way to our property and we like to keep them happy!
