Freshwater view offers a break from the bustle of a busy life while still being very close to the historic town of Maldon. The newly decorated double room is bright and airy and is suitable for solo travellers or 2 people sharing. There is a single room available on the opposite side of the landing and if both rooms are booked together we can host a family of 3.
A comfortable double room with a wardrobe for storage and a full length mirror.
The bedroom overlooks the Blackwater Canal and the grass verge is home to a variety of birds; swans, ducks and moorhens go about their business just a few feet away from the front door. There are fields on the other side of the canal.
As the road is a crescent, the traffic noise is minimal – although there is the occasional boat travelling along the canal.
Towels are provided and tea, coffee and toast is available.

Hi! I'm Jas and the two lovely ladies on either side of me in the photograph are my daughters. Freshwater view has been our home for 18 years and we love it for the friendly and supportive local community as well as the outlook.
Cooking is my passion and I love to share food and wine with friends and family while we chat about whatever is the currents topic of interest. I enjoy eating out in restaurants where food is mostly prepared from fresh or cooked from scratch and find picnics are a great way to relax and unwind.
I can be sociable but don't mind my own company either; walking, watching movies and shopping are activities I'm happy to do alone. Two things are hate are Crowds and Queuing!
I have a business specialising in anti-ageing facials and have a salon room located on the premises where very friendly, professional clients visit for treatment. Making them feel at ease when they arrive has become second nature to me. I am happy to welcome guests but also respect your need for privacy if you wish.
I have a long list of places I would like to visit and explore but if I was to have a holiday to escape and relax then it would have to be near water, preferably the Ocean. My favourite destination for a short break in recent years has been Cromer in Norfolk, a traditional seaside town. Longer breaks have been in India and Thailand for culture and Tenerife and Portugal for the blue skies and sunshine.
