Explore the Cotswolds from The Lodge, the wooden clad annex, to Beacon Farm. Situated down a quiet country lane surrounded by lush green fields and stunning views over the valley and into Wales. Yet just 10 minutes walk to Painswick village. Minutes from the Cotswold Way. Dogs very welcome.
The Lodge is the wooden clad annex to Beacon Farm ( which is a converted barn) It is in the grounds of a small farm in the countryside surrounding Painswick Beacon.
Only 10 minutes walk into Painswick village or 5 minutes up to the Beacon to enjoy it's glorious views although the views from the farm are pretty good too if you don't fancy the hike!
Perfect for anyone looking for a dose of country life and lush green fields. The wildlife is varied and the view down the drive is quite magnificent. The resident partridges and pheasants are most entertaining as are the neighbouring sheep.
Always something to look at. Do as little or as much as you like.
Explore the Cotswolds from this perfectly formed little Lodge. Only 40 mins driving to Bourton on the Water and 50mins to Stow on the Wold and the spa town of Cheltenham is only 25 minutes away.
Enjoy a game of golf or a bike ride over the Beacon or a lazy afternoon in a country pub garden or eating icecream at Winstones ice cream factory in Rodborough.
So much to explore and don't miss the famous Stroud farmers market on a Saturday.

We like to leave our guests to enjoy themselves but you will no doubt see us out in the tractor or with the dog around the farm yard. We are only nextdoor if you need something or just give us a call on the mobile if you don't find us at home.
There is large machinery on the farm so please take care. Please park in the assigned area. There is also a little spaniel dog called Willow who wonders around the yard and likes to say hello and greet people with a smile. Please drive slowly as she may approach the car to say hello. Please do not feed the dog or encourage her to come into the Lodge as this can make it difficult for future guests who do not want her in The Lodge. If you do not like dogs, the Lodge is probably not for you as the dog is never far away and roams loosely outside of Beacon Farm and The Lodge.
If you return to the property and the gates are closed, please close the first gate after you and please park by the bench infront of the Lodge. The second gate into the yard will be locked from 10pm-8am so you will need to walk around the side of the Lodge to get to the front door. If you need to move your vehicle out of the yard after 10pm and before 8am please let us know so we can make sure the gate is open for you.
If you bring a dog with you please make sure you clean up after it and keep it on a lead in the yard. There is a footpath at the end of the drive and you are minutes from the woods and the Beacon for a long or short walk. The neighbouring farm is a sheep farm. Please make sure you keep your dog on a lead around the sheep.
The garden at the front of the barn is private so please do not sit there. Please enjoy the view further down the drive.
