The home, the basement unit, borders a creek, and overlooks Lake Superior. The views are spectacular from the basement. This property lies on the lakeside of the Scenic Hwy, 4 miles past Lester River but still within the Duluth City limits.
The unit is all North Shore and wilderness themed and gives you the real sense of living on the North Shore. Beautiful deck with awning allows you to relax and watch the boats go by and a fire in the deck Chiminea, while grilling your dinner and hanging out.
The property is parklike in quality, beautiful creek running into the lake. The property is blooming most of the spring and summer and sits atop a hill overlooking the creek and Lake Superior. The deck is so relaxing, just watch the boats going by, enjoying a fire in the Chiminea, and the wildlife that abounds.
The inside of the rental is beautiful, it is wild and very much a North Shore feel. Whether it’s a beautiful day or a storming night, there is plenty to see from the comfort of the family room or bedroom. There are often eagles flying over or sitting in a tree overlooking the lake.
The kitchenette has a fridge, sink, microwave, oven top electric burners, toaster and pizza maker. The unit has a new air conditioner. The deck has chairs, a grill, an over the deck awning and a Chimenea (the awning must be rolled in when grilling and using the Chiminea). The Bedroom is as comfy as one could get.
This vacation rental is extremely quiet and peaceful. We want our guests to have fun but also be respectful of the upper unit and the neighbors. If you’re looking for something to use mostly to party, this is probably not the one you would want. Vacation Rentals in Duluth are very regulated including noise and partying, and this will be too.
* The stairway leading down to the entrance in the back, does not have handrails. Any person with a physical limitations, balance issue or might be more at risk, I would not recommend that you rent the unit.
Whether you use this as home base for other North Shore activities, or you just stay and enjoy this little piece of heaven, is up to you. This will be a destination that is sure to please if you are a lover of the great north woods.
This is on the Scenic Hwy 61, about 3 blocks east of the Mcquade Breakwater and Boat Landing. Jutting out into Lake Superior, it is paved and you can walk entirely out on the breakwater. Fishing inside of the breakwater or on the open lake on the other side of the breakwater is available, if you have the appropriate fishing license. This would be a great access point for Lake Superior for you, and it is only 3 blocks away from the property. Brochure available on request. The vacation rental license is: PL 17-021

The property does not have lake access and going through neighbors land is trespassing and will be enforced. 3 blocks from the property is the McQuade breakwater and boat landing, which gives you total access to Lake Superior.
The beds are laid out this way: you have a queen that sleeps 2 in the bedroom. Then 2 twin roll-away memory foam beds, which can be set up anywhere in the unit.
