A quiet rural retreat. This charming 200 year old cottage is surrounded by fields full of wildlife and is an idyllic get away for couples.
This delightful Grade II listed cottage was once the gardener's cottage on a wealthy 19th century landowner's estate and is built onto the side of a walled garden. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated with ecology in mind. Solar PV panels help with the supply of electricity and a log boiler, using our own wood, together with solar thermal panels supplying hot water and heating to keep the cottage cosy and warm. There's also a log burner to snuggle up in front of when the nights are cool. Outside there is a patio with spacious private garden opening onto our fields with the river and woodland beyond. The farm has 43 acres of grazing for sheep and cattle, including an area of bluebell woods and a ¾ acre lake where you can watch a variety of wildlife including dragon flies, wild ducks and geese etc.
There is a private parking area at the front of the cottage.

We have lived in this lovely Welsh valley for over 30 years and just love being able to share something of the natural beauty and tranquillity with others who are looking to take a little break from life's routine.
