The house is located in historic Jamestown, NC. A two-bedroom, contemporary home in a quiet, wooded setting at the end of a street inside a peaceful and established neighborhood. And, it's nestled between High Point and Greensboro, allowing easy access to both I-85 and I-40. Also, it's near GTCC's main campus and minutes from HPU, UNCG, Greensboro Coliseum, HP Furniture Market and PTI Airport. Local farm to table restaurants and nearby attractions will make your visit enjoyable and fulfilling.

Also, the property is great for families visiting their child student who is currently attending one of several local colleges and universities.***
This is a one and a half story home, which has a keyless entrance at the front of the house that can be accessed easily via a stairway onto the front deck from street parking. Also, you can pull into the driveway and underneath the carport for easy access via a stone path leading to the front entrance from the driveway and carport. Or, you can use the key-less rear-kitchen entry located inside the screened porch. The driveway is slightly curved and somewhat steep. The home is decorated in an eclectic mix of styles, including contemporary and mid-century, along with the occasional traditional motif. The 8 panel front door opens to the main living area, which includes vaulted ceilings and a view of the loft with a floating stairway leading up to it. And, the stairway provides access to the upper level Master-bedroom with King-size bed, walk-in closet, private bathroom and shower/tub combination. Also, the upper-level private loft area is furnished with a sofa, butterfly chair, bookshelf with a large selection of titles, and a very small, private Juliet balcony, which allows unobstructed views of the surrounding forest. And, please keep in mind, the balcony is meant for one person, but no small children are permitted, so it has a latch for safety. A step-down located off the lower-level foyer leads to both the main living area with sofa, lounge seating and entertainment center, and the open kitchen area with table and bar seating. The kitchen is fully available for cooking, and it contains basic cookware with cutlery and utensils, along with a variety of spices for your use. Plus, a single serving Keurig coffee dispenser with 48 oz. reservoir is available for use in the kitchen area. It includes a hot water filter for use with tea bags, with a variety of flavors for both type beverages (caffeinated and decaffeinated), along with bottled and filtered water. And, we've added a drip coffee maker and French press (coffee included), as well as an old fashioned tea kettle for use with the variety of provided tea bags. Also, the lower-level area has a powder room located off the foyer, a second Master-bedroom with Queen-size bed, deck access via sliding glass door, private bathroom with walk-in shower, and walk-in closet. Plus, it has direct access to the laundry room via a sliding pocket door. A common coat closet is located in the hallway at the right side of foyer. And, the closet contains an ironing-board and clothes-iron for your use. Also included is High Speed Internet with WiFi access, HDTV, Netflix and a DVD player with a modest selection of movies for your entertainment pleasure. Also, yoga mats, blocks, straps and DVDs are available upon request. Did we forget anything? MULTIPLE LEVELS - Please keep the following in mind before booking the property: The home and outside grounds does have multiple levels throughout with several stairways , including many step-ups and step-downs.
STAIRS - The interior stairway has floating residential stairs leading up to the loft and upper-level master bedroom, which also has a step-up. Plus, step-downs leading into the kitchen and living areas, including a step down off the kitchen, allowing you access onto the screened porch area. Also, there are multiple step-ups and step-downs located throughout the exterior grounds leading to various areas of the property.
BATHROOMS - A full bath and shower combination is contained within the upper-level master. A full bath (shower only) is contained within the lower-level master. Hair dryers are included within each full bathroom. Also, the lower-level area of the house has a laundry room for your use, including a clothes-iron and ironing-board.
LAUNDRY - The laundry area is accessible from the lower-level master bedroom or the powder-room located off the main entry foyer. And, the clothes-iron and ironing-board are kept in the foyer coat closet.
SECOND ENTRANCE - For your convenience, there is a separate, key-less exterior entrance with keypad located inside the screened porch leading to the kitchen.
PETS - Pets do live on the property. However, they (two Dachshunds and one mixed breed-all rescue dogs), will NOT be on premises during your visit.

Guests will have full access to all areas of the house, except the walk-in attic, which is located within the upper-level loft area. Also, guests will not have access to the double-door closet located inside the lower-level powder-room or the carport storage room. Each of the aforementioned will remain locked because those spaces are used for general storage of tools, unused household items and bulk purchased supplies.

Initially, we will meet you in person at the home, in order to give you a small tour of the property and answer additional questions that you might have concerning your stay. Afterward, you can use an electronic keypad (one located on the front door and another on the rear door), so as to enter the home at your leisure and convenience during the remainder of your reservation. And, during your stay, if you need assistance, or if you have other questions, then please feel free to either text or call us at any point. We are always available by mobile means of communication. Plus, if needed, and since we live nearby, then we can quickly be available in person, of course depending upon our schedule. And, as a final note, our phone number will be provided to you by AirBnB, but only after a booking is scheduled and has been confirmed. Otherwise, all communication will occur via AirBnB messaging. We have landscape lighting, which is controlled by an independent timer. And, those lights will turn on around dusk and turn off about two hours afterward.
A Bluetooth speaker is available in the loft area for your use and listening pleasure. You can pair up the unit with your mobile device and enjoy music from your favorite playlist, as the sounds are broadcast from the loft into the lower-level living area of the home.
We can provide yoga mats, along with mat cleaner, blocks, straps and towels for those who have interest in practicing while away from home but don't want to bring their own items. So, let us know prior to your arrival whether this is something you would enjoy, and we will ensure those items are provided and available during your stay in our home.

However, we have found it necessary to state for purposes of clarification; No additional persons are allowed to stay overnight other than those specified at the time of booking. Once again, we are agreeing to host our home ONLY for the number of guests agreed upon during final booking confirmation. (i.e. If only one guest is booked, then only one guest is expected and only one guest will be allowed.) Otherwise, either additional charges will apply during check-in for all additional guests. Or, the booking guest agrees to forfeiture of deposit, if additional guests are discovered after the initial check-in and throughout until departure. Correct and verified guest count is a requirement. Also, the home and property is not a venue for parties and/or other type gatherings. It is a place for the guests to enjoy a tranquil, quiet and peaceful environment. So, if any of these terms are broken for any reason, then the reserving guest will be subject to forfeiture of the deposit amount specified during booking. And, by completing the booking process through AirBnB, the reserving guest agrees to those terms indicated, as stated in this paragraph, concerning agreement of deposit forfeiture for violating terms. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING PERMITTED of any kind (including e-cigarettes and vapor devices) inside the home or anywhere on the outside grounds of the property. If we discover evidence that this rule has not been observed, then the reserving guest will be charged against the agreed deposit amount for any and all necessary cleaning, which may be required, in order to remove the smoke odor.
Absolutely NO recreational and/or drug use on the property.
No loud music, TV, videos, or other noise, etc. This is a quiet family neighborhood. If the police are called out to the property for any reason, then the reserving guest knowingly and willfully forfeits the $500.00 deposit.
No scented products such as candles.
No pets allowed.
No indoor or outdoor parties. Small gatherings beyond guests may be allowed with written host approval.
The property is not available as a venue for parties or gatherings.

My name is Connie. Lucky me gets to work from home as an independent contractor performing a variety of work for two companies, which certainly fills my work days. And, Marty works in government IT, which he enjoys tremendously. However, because both of our days include mostly sitting at a computer while typing away on a keyboard, we try extremely hard to sign off at the end of the day and either prepare a meal together, or we head out to one of the local farm to table restaurants to hang out on the patio together with friends, while enjoying a glass of wine or sweet tea. We do this in order to unwind and shake off the normal stresses of a typical workday. So, what better place to do it than the tasty restaurants located in this little hidden gem of a town. Another activity both Marty and I enjoy is relaxing outdoors. And, our home in Jamestown gives the special feeling of being in a nature's retreat contained within our own backyard. Plus, the beautiful trees, natural and groomed landscaping, with views of a seemingly endless forest from either the back deck or screened porch, truly gives the feeling of being far from the city. During the late afternoons and weekends, we enjoy taking our three dogs on short walks either around our property, within our neighborhood or lengthier adventures throughout the many nature trails available to us in the Piedmont area. We truly feel very fortunate to have such a variety of nearby locations that allows us to often enjoy wonderful day trips on occasion via a short drive. So, whether it be a quick ride to the head of a local walking trail, a Friday evening view of stars and other celestial bodies at the local observatory, or a planned trip to one of many parks in the area to spend the day in nature, there is always something new to see and do happening nearby during the changing seasons.
