We live nearby our old Pioneer Home. We are busy with our working sheep/cattle farm. Mary is the Postmaster in Loa. We may be reached by phone, text, or email. Text being easiest.
We enjoy socializing. It's up to you as our guests, if you have questions about the area, home, or local attractions we would be happy to visit.
We do not have air conditioning. We live at 7000 ft altitude and air conditioning is rarely needed. We have found out that if we keep the blinds down and the windows closed during the day, especially on the South side of the house and then open the windows upstairs at night it makes for cool, lovely sleeping.
We do live in a small town and barking dogs are often heard at night. We have disposable earplug in the bathroom vanity upstairs.
Guests are expected to do their own dishes.
Laundry available on site for long term stay.
Small children need to be watched on stairs, railing is not child safe.
Jan and I are native residents of Wayne County. Our ancestors helped settle this area in the late 1800's. We own and operate a working sheep/cattle operation. Jan also coaches at the local High School. I am the Postmaster of Loa. We have six children and we enjoy hiking, fishing, and exploring our beautiful area.
