Spent a lovely 5 day stay in July 2017 with hubby and MIL. The weather was iffy but this lovely little house made up for it! It feels like a proper little country cottage, not fussy at all, not all matchy matchy leaving you too scared to touch anything. We felt comfortable and at home immediately, to the point where we were very sad to leave. MIL summed it up well when she said the house gives off "des bonnes ondes" - or "good vibes" in English :)
If you have good weather, make the most of the garden, like the house, it's beautiful in it's simplicity. And you're really lucky, François might let you help yourself to some of the produce (the lettuce was really nice!) If the weather's rubbish and you don't feel like going out, there's satellite tv and a great wifi connection. If you DO go out, this part of Normandy is absolutely beautiful, just check out the view from the bedroom windows and you'll see what I mean!
Be aware that the loo is downstairs, while the bedrooms are upstairs, a bit annoying but no big deal really. Speaking of bedrooms, the main one is MASSIVE, the second one is also a good size and both have very comfortable beds.
François is lovely, a great host and he replies to queries promptly. We loved this place so much that we will definitely book here again. Assuming it's available, that is! We wires happy there we wanted to stay a few more days but it was already booked up so make sure you reserve early!
