Dear Jackson from Down Under,
Greetings from Land below the Wind.
Thank you for booking our place for your brother's stay with his wife.
Ours is a airbnb and not a hotel stay. Here i would summarized that both your definition and expectation of airbnb stay is very different from ours. I just want to ask why did you stay at a airbnb home if you're expecting a hotel services and quality? At our rate for a master room, you could have look for a budget hotel room in the town center if you don't mind their room quality or a more superior accommodation if you're willing to pay more. Please accept our apology for a differing definition of a airbnb stay.
As a responsible host, you(the booker) & brother(guest) were given a copy of our House Rule before check in and during the stay.
As for the RM50 request from us, is only a request from us through airbnb Resolution Center. As a guest, you are not obligated to pay. It is your decision. We assure you here, if you decline to pay the amount we will not further our case anymore. Your calculation on the electricity usage is right. From our perspective its our one and only mother earth that have our concern. We are just hoping with that amount it will deter other future guests from doing the same. So far we are still happy to play host. If you'd read our listing well, we promote green living for a better future and environment to our children and generations to come.
Even with this experience with you we had, we will still maintain our room rates for our future guests and still will do our best to provide the same comfy and safe stay to our guests. That's the beauty of a true Sabahan.
You have a good day there mate.
