This log home was built in 1997 for our personal use. My wife and I put all the thought into what type of look we wanted and decorated with animal mounts, bear rugs and skins. The dining area seats 8 and is off the kitchen stocked with all the necessary utensils for meal preparation. We began renting after our grandchildren went off to college although they return to "the cabin" with friends in tow. Large numbers (over ten) is prohibited. No blow ups, baby pens, or couch sleeping is permitted.
We control the number of people staying at one time to insure it is maintained and allows cleaning time when one group checks out and another arrives the same afternoon. (Every week from Memorial Day to Labor Day gets booked). It is large in terms of footage but we do do allow blow-ups or couch sleeping. Having hosted my own family we know in order for everyone to enjoy (Mom included), over ten guests is too many at one time. It is a home not a motel. It has four bedrooms, a loft, kitchen, laundry, dining, two great rooms, a screened in porch and three bathrooms that cleaning crew puts in perfect order each turn over. They change the beds and wash and dry the towels. The dock area has to be arranged as well. Strictly enforced rule on numbers!
