Come visit Above the Clouds! Our home sits at 3200 feet on 9 private acres, with amazing views of our beautiful Western NC mountains. Everything you need is in your separate, private 650 sqft mountain escape.
We are in the middle of nature, so be prepared to share space with deer, bear, coyotes, fireflies, and lady bugs.
Hot tub, fire pit, and hammock are waiting for your arrival.
Frig, Microwave, Keurig coffee provided. We have thought of everything including a towel warmer & fluffy robes.
Living area has a brand new leather couch. We have an electric fireplace, and fuzzy couch throws, for those chilly winter nights. A 55" TV completes the setting for a relaxing night at home.
Your queen size bed has 100% cotton sheets, a duvet cover for your fluffy down comforter. Bamboo pillows complete the equation for a restful and relaxing night.
Your space only allows 2 people, and additional guests cannot be accommodated at any time during your visit.
No worries if the power goes out, we have a generator that powers almost everything in the guest suite.
Let us know what night you want a fire, and Dan will set up the fire pit for you.

Holidays are a wonderful time to visit Asheville! Enjoy the gingerbread houses at the Omni Grove Park, and the extravagant Christmas displays at the Biltmore Estate.
Your guest suite has a private walkway, with a private entrance, and a digital coded keylock. You have two private parking spots. Our cars will be in the garage, on the same floor as the guest suite. Of course, we will never enter your space during your visit. A word of caution if you don’t like heights: Our driveway is steep! We have a couple of S turns that will require a bit of backing up if you drive a big truck. Our son-in-law, Levi, has a Toyota Tacoma and navigates the driveway just fine; just be aware that you may need to back up a few feet on the two tight turns. Our driveway is paved, and we have solar LED lights along the way.
We don't have designated trails on the property, but you are welcome to hike on any part. The view from the top of the mountain is even better than the view from our home. Hopefully you will see our resident hawk; you will know he is close when you hear his very loud screech. It is one of the coolest experiences of living here.

We are a quiet, retired couple who live on the top two floors. You probably won’t see us unless you need something.
For October guests: the lady bugs love our home! There are a few days (usually the sunny days) where they literally swarm our house. Unfortunately, we can’t predict when this might happen. If the lady bugs visit during your visit, we will be happy to refund your full payment if you choose not to stay, because you may not be able to use the hot tub or fire pit during that time.
We have wireless Internet. Even though we are only 20 minutes to downtown, we are in the middle of nowhere, and our internet speed sometimes reflects that. You will definitely be able to check email, use social media, etc. You probably will not have sufficient speed to stream movies. That's one of the reasons we have one of the better dish Network packages :-)
Dan is a retired meteorologist, and we love weather. We will always let you know if bad roads will affect your winter arrival. For January – March stays, bring your snow boots, you may have to walk up the driveway. We have to walk it once or twice a year. It is so peaceful, and absolutely gorgeous. Of course, we will refund your payment if the roads are declared impassable by the County.

Dan and I have four amazing, wonderful children who have become responsible, kind, caring adults. They are the center of our lives. We now have three grandchildren, who are becoming the centers of our Universe. When our children were young, we decided to get a few properties to help during retirement. We have made it to retirement!
The name of our business is IAG, which stands for It's All Good. We believe that life is all about what you make of it, and for us "It's All Good."
We have lots of family in the area who help with our properties when necessary. Our youngest son, Kevin, is interested in taking over the business one day. Kevin is always available to our guests if there's an emergency and we're not available for any reason.
Remember, as you go through life, tell yourself daily: It's All Good!!
