À propos de ce logement
Hi! I'm making my nice apartment available for short stays while I'm helping with my gran not too far away. It's in a fairly swanky building (except for the 4th fl walkup) very close to the C train & Shuttle to Prospect Park, with a Full/Double bed in the bedroom, a twin mattress can easily be put out in the LR if need be, and there's a pack'n'play for anyone with a baby/toddler who needs one!
I have skyline views from both my apartment and a sweet roof deck one floor up.
Hello, first please note: the place is available from August 28 - the morning of Sep. 1 and while there is a 3-night minimum stay during this time, if anyone would like to stay for all 4 of these nights, I'll send a special offer for a discount of $10 per night.
A little explanation about the number of guests the space can sleep: there's one bedroom with a full (double) bed, which will sleep 1-2 people, and in the living room, there's a couch which one person could technically sleep on, but I wouldn't call it comfortable for sleeping. So there's also the option of rolling out a twin-size foam mattress in the living room if you were to need to sleep a third guest, or a 2nd guest who didn't want to sleep in the bed. Just want to leave that option open for folks.
For those traveling with infants or toddlers, I also have a pack'n'play (portable crib) which you may use at your request.
There is a beautiful deck on the roof with chairs, loungers, and views all around, including the World Trade Center, Empire State Building and the New York City skyline in general.

Bathroom: HUGE bath tub!
Échanges avec les voyageurs
I will be here to greet you when you arrive and will most likely arrive to pick up the key from you at the end of your stay, otherwise I will be accessible by phone, text and email.
Please note! Depending on the weekend, I may be in and out (it's a 2-bedroom apartment), or I may not really be around other than that.
If you would like to know what kind of weekend it will be, feel free to ask me about it before you book so that you will know how much privacy you will be getting!
(in the event that I'm not nearby I have a friend who lives nearby who would be able to help if any emergency situations should arise with the apartment, e.g., you become locked out, etc.)
There isn't a television - my apologies!
About children: I've set this listing as appropriate for infants under age 2, but not for "children 2-12" as those were the checkboxes available, but I'd like to explain. I've an 8-year-old son myself (who will not be present on these weekends), and basically, if you've a child 9+ who won't be left unsupervised at any time, and you'd like to stay, feel free to contact me. However I don't feel the place is appropriate for smaller children due to the fragility of some decor, and there's a large mirror, a wine rack; some things that just aren't safe in an apartment with small, energetic children.
- All common areas of building have security cameras, so building rules must be followed at all times in common areas, and halls and stairs can only be used for quietly coming and going!

I'm a busy, hyperactive-yet-tired, divorced mom of a hyperactive-yet-brilliant son who is a little Old Soul. Partly self-employed, partly disabled, and an artist, I'm sometimes barely home, sometimes away for days, and sometimes home all day feverishly working, feverishly drawing, painting or making, or sleeping, or trying very hard to get some sleep!
I've been through a lot, and I've landed back here in Brooklyn with my young sidekick, in a very nice apartment which we can use a bit of extra help paying the rent on sometimes, and my son and I love to meet new people - so I'm super happy to have Airbnb now!
