Allow me to introduce myself – My name is Lipton Yang and I live in this home with my wife, Xianmei, and our little girl Shuyuan.
I speak Chinese and Vietnamese with a very recent, but intense exposure to English. I understand English much better than I speak it, thanks mainly to English speakers who also live here.
During my years living in China, I was involved in the manufacturing industry which demanded travel around the world. It has been my experience that most people, regardless of colour or culture will respond with respect if they are themselves, treated respectfully.
I have many loves (ooops!! don’t tell my wife), but lately I have been captivated by sailing due to a recent boat purchase - so, so much for me to learn and it also helps to improve my English.
One of the central loves of my life has been music – my father was a musician and he was my first teacher - he is gone now, but that profound love of music was one of his great life gifts to me.
I had no intention of leaving China until I first laid eyes on this majestic home in Victoria B.C. I was instantly struck by the sense or promise and future that radiated from it.
Offering this space for your enjoyment seems such a perfect way to share this feeling plus while travelling I was exposed to many different accommodations and learned a great deal about this industry.
Florid language, perhaps, in today’s world of instant text, but come and see it for yourself – You be the judge.
