Patrice, it is so very unfortunate that another Host with Airbnb would seek to purposely bash and damage the stellar reputation of another Host, but that is exactly what you have sought to do here, which is a sad result for ALL the Airbnb community!
*First, my ENTIRE home is kept immaculately clean, as stated in NUMEROUS REVIEWS by other guests in their reviews, so to make it sound as though your room was the only clean space, as give a 2 star rating on cleanliness is a lie! Additionally, you ignored my 2 requests for an estimated arrival time on your day of arrival and I politely asked so that I could greet you and welcome you, as that is my desire to greet and make my guests feel welcomed and served. When you did respond, it was via text message and not through Airbnb after I have messaged you through Airbnb to let you know I was needing to step out to run an errand and was concerned because you had not messaged back to confirm your arrival (out of courtesy to you as a fellow Airbnb host, I did NOT downgrade you on communication in my review of your stay).
* Second, when you did finally check in, it was 9:30pm at night and you brought your son with ZERO prior notification or communication that he would be being a guest on your stay. As a fellow Host, you know this is not Airbnb standards, but again, I was gracious and greeted you both, and because my son had just come upstairs to ask me to come say night prayers with him, I took a moment to introduce him to you and your son, but told my son to go wait for me to say prayers and that I would be right down to his room. There was **ABSOLUTELY NO ENCOURAGEMENT TO HAVE THE BOYS INTERACT! *It was my son's bed time, and he needed to get to bed, so this statement from you is an absolute fabricated lie designed to damage my business reputation and as an attorney, this could be considered defamation against my character and your false statements, which can be refuted by the other guests IS slander and Liable against my business, as it is done with intent to damage my business with Airbnb! (Again, as a fellow Host, I did NOT downgrade you in my review of you due to your change of circumstances or needing to bring your son along at the last minute, even though you gave me ZERO notice until you showed up at my door at 9:30pm!)
*Third, It was only 9:45pm when I finished checking you in and another guest came to me in the kitchen and discussed the need to go get milk, then left to obtain his milk for the next morning. Quiet hours are at 10:30pm and this discussion with the other guest was NOT at 10:50pm as you have again lied in your review of my listing! The guest in question that you have accused of being loud is a business travel guest who has been in my Airbnb home for over a month and has NEVER been anything but polite! Further, the kitchen is a great distance away from your room and not at all a "nearby open space" as you have stated, as my home is well over 3,000 Sq. Ft! You state that you had to install a "white noise app" however, you previously stated that you and your son went to your room and "quietly worked on our computers"...you checked in at 9:30pm and my quiet hours begin at 10:30 so another lie because at the point you allege you had to do this, the whole house was already in bed or quiet in their rooms myself included! Further, at check in, I inform EVERY GUEST that quiet hours are at 10:30pm, so if they are coming in later, to please be very quiet. I informed you of this at check in as well since you arrived very close to quiet hours.
*Fourth, There were NOT 4 sets of guests in my airbnb home! Airbnb records can and do prove that I have 4 Airbnb rooms listed in my 6 bedroom home, and there was only 1 other couple checked in as a GUEST and the other 2 GUESTS, (NOT RENTERS) were single in separate rooms DOWNSTAIRS and no where near your room or you and your son! I have had NUMEROUS guests in my home and a full house on numerous occasions and AT NO TIME have ANY other guests complained of hearing another guest in the room next to them, further, your room does NOT share a wall with their bed, there is a solid mirrored dresser in the other guests room that shares a wall with your room and their bed, is across the room against a totally different wall! Moreover, at no time did I hear "nasty phegmy cough and snored all night" and my bedroom is immediately next to their room and across the hall from the room you were in and I am an extremely light sleeper, yet I never heard any noises coming from that room! More lies!
*Fifth, My listings say "Private Bath" because they ARE private for guests and NOT USED BY MY FAMILY!! They are guest ONLY bathrooms!!
*Sixth, I ask EVERY GUEST how they slept and if there was ANYTHING that I could do differently or better, as I did with you too! You told me you slept great and that I had "many more amenities" than you have seen other Airbnb homes offer, and you could not think of anything else to add, so I had no reason to think you would turn and BASH MY PERFECT 5 STAR FEEDBACK!
A NOTE TO FELLOW AIRBNB GUESTS AND HOSTS: Please read my feedback from all other guests, then consider what to believe here. I submitted this FALSE REVIEW for removal by Airbnb, however, they do NOT have a policy in place about Hosts bashing other Host's reviews with intention to damage their business. Beware fellow Hosts, this MUST change... what are we to do with other Hosts who act unethically and with the intent to purposely cause damage to another Host hard work and good reputation?? :(
