I"m very sorry to hear that you had an issue with the guest upstairs. I had a lot of trouble with the upstairs guest. Normally it is just my wife and I upstairs but we decided to rent our home out this summer while we are in Japan. The guest was terrible! My house is advertised as "not suitable for small children" but she said she "could take care of her children." I'm very sorry to also learn that she was so rude as to do laundry at 2am. I have 5 rules:
Please respect our neighbors. If you drive a car, please park in front of our house.
NOISE. Please do not make noise that can be heard by our neighbors after 10pm. This is a local ordinance.
NO SMOKING. Please do not smoke in our house or on our property. If you are a smoker, please don’t stay with us.
SHOES OFF. We are a “shoes off” house, this is Japanese culture thing… We have left several pair of slippers for you to wear in the house or you may bring your own.
NO DEEP FRYING. Please do not use our house to learn how to cook tempura or any deep fried dishes (this happened to a good friend of ours). Please also refrain from dishes that produce strong odors.
Lynn Zhou basically violated 4 of the rules, and a 5th if you count the "not suitable for children" policy she violated. It sounds discriminatory to not allow children but we just won't allow for kids for the remaining time we keep our house on airbnb.
AND she had the nerve to leave me a bad review!
(for those reading the reviews please read Lynn's review below, and Tony's below hers complaining of similar issues about Lynn)
