The annexe at KoumKinvi forms part of a renovated typical Breton 17th C granite farmhouse in the Armorique national park & 30 minutes from the sea. It is located in a rural hamlet 200 m from national walking & cycling paths Arrive on foot or bike as well as by car!

The spacious accommodation comprises 2 adaptable living spaces on adjoining floors ideal for couples or groups of friends.

We live in the adjoining house but you will have a private entrance and staircases.

Le logement
The house is solidly built with thick granite walls which give a sense of safety and peace. It is full of character, forming part of an ancient granite dwelling dating back to the 17th century. Inside it is light and comfortable and extends over 2 open plan floors. The big living area ( 40m 2) includes a fully equipped kitchenette with a dining table and breakfast bar as well as sitting area with a Muji sofabed. There's plenty of space for everyone to sit together, and there is also a terrace on the ground floor where you can sit outside. Upstairs is the bedroom and bathroom, again 40m2 with plenty of space for a second double bed if required. All the rooms have lovely views to the front and back.
On the ground floor is our teaching and learning room when we are running courses (never at the same time as renting the accommodation!)

Accès des voyageurs
The grounds are a magical blend of woodland and sunny glades, including a large natural pool. The whole place is alive with wildlife and we encourage you to explore and to find your own place for quiet reflection.

The house is in a tiny ancient hamlet with walking and cycling paths that lead directly on to the moors and to circular paths to the local abbey and beyond.
We are 30 minutes walk from the top of the beautiful Monts d'Arrée.
The hamlet was originally part of the monastery Le Relec, and still has features dating back to the monks' agriculture and aquaculture as well as each household being allocated tiny parcelles of land to graze the cow/horse, grow veg and collect wood. We can show you our parcelles if you are interested!
The countryside is a mixture of woodland, sustainably managed farmland and stunning open moorland Sometimes our neighbour moves her magnificent pedigree cows past the property, but this is usually the only daily "traffic".
You can walk to Le Relec Abbey where there is also a bar/restaurant and a restored potager. The GR 380 is 200 m away, and there is a network of VTT cycling paths going in every direction.
The nearest boulangerie and epicerie is at Plouneour Menez 1.5 miles away where there's also one of the famous "enclos paroissial"- ornate church enclosures which date back to the 17-18 century when the linen trade brought wealth and prosperity to the area.
Morlaix with its famous Napoleonic viaduct is 12 miles away and has a fabulous market on a Saturday. You should try and make a day of it as you really need to follow your browsing with a long lunch and a stroll through the medieval streets. Its marina was a historic linen and tobacco port, and usually boasts some rather lovely sailing boats!
