This cosy Grade II listed cottage is my home but I am often away and love to have guests stay. It's a short walk from the centre of Georgian Bewdley, by the River Severn. You will have exclusive use of the entire cottage when it is available. There are many fabulous eateries and coffee shops for all meals, just a few minutes walk.

Bewdley offers regular events, Sunday markets and museum with cafe and crafts near the river. Close by is the West Midlands Safari Park & the Severn Valley Railway.

The cottage is at ground level of a larger Grade ll listed building. Everything is provided for your stay including towels, bedding and a welcome pack. The front door opens into a small lobby where you can hang coats and remove shoes, and then into the cosy lounge. All rooms are off the lounge. The lounge has a small sofa, drop leaf table that can be used to work at, a feature fireplace and TV. There is a spacious fully equipped kitchen with pine dresser, modern breakfast bar, microwave, toaster, full oven and hob, fridge/freezer and range of cutlery, crockery and saucepans. Tea, coffee and milk always provided and you will find crumpets and butter in the fridge for breakfast. The door from kitchen opens onto private courtyard shared with neighbouring property. If you need to smoke please use the courtyard. No smoking is permitted in the cottage. The double bedroom has a chest of drawers, hairdryer, iron and ironing board for guests' use. There is a spare pillow and blanket if required. The bathroom has a full bath, shower over and heated towel radiator. Nearby neighbours are usually on hand to help with any problems that may arise. Please note there is no parking other than in the Dog Lane car park, by the medical centre, in the town centre or on nearby residential roads.

Please remember this accommodation is part of a 200 year old building. This brings a quaintness of character that some may not find attractive. Whilst you may not hear the neighbours as the walls are very thick, you may see the odd spider, moth or even wood lice lurking in the corners. This is rare, but could occur during your stay. Try as I may I cannot dissuade them from paying a visit from time to time! Please also note that the cottage on one of the main routes through the town and there may be some traffic noise, especially at weekends. However, normally no lorries or large vehicles travel through the town as Bewdley has a by-pass for non local traffic.

The wi-fi is via a router. It sometimes struggles to keep the signal going and needs to be re-booted. Please contact me you can't access the wi-fi or it is very weak and I will re-boot the router for you. Likewise phone signals are often poor in the middle of the property. You will be able to get a phone signal and use data, close by the front windows in both the bedroom and the lounge.

The apartment is on a main through route but is not noisy as most of the traffic is for local residents and visitors to the town. After 7 pm there is little traffic. There are no heavy lorries as they use the by-pass, but you may hear and see the occasion bus, but not during the night. The area is full of unusual, timbered, historical buildings - many of them also Grade II listed. Because of this, the town attracts many visitors, especially at weekends. This can mean some noise from cars on the road outside, queuing to enter the town.
