Patience Home is a unique home in the woods on a dead end street where the neighbors are friendly & quiet, and there's lots of space. No more than 10 minutes to most locations in Charleston, and 25 minutes from Interstate 57. If you're looking for a great night's sleep, or some back to nature quiet time, or even some music time on my studio Yamaha (acoustic), please consider Patience Home. IF YOU WANT TO STAY LONGER THAN 5 NIGHTS, please contact me and I will be able to decide if it'll work.

Le logement
The great room features high south facing windows looking out into sky and trees in my front yard. Woods are on the other 3 sides of my property. The floors are hardwood, the ceiling is a blue cathedral ceiling with fresco style walls in warm tuscan colors. Red leather sofas and a handmade table that sits 8 comfortably in custom made Amish crafted maple captain's chairs. Imported Swedish woodstove for the cold evenings and a projection screen for watching dvds or amazon prime.

Accès des voyageurs
access: There are 2 front doors, and 2 back doors - The left front door is mine, and the right front door (with ramp) leads to the main house where you have free access. Your space is shared with one woman, Lisa. There is a laundry, 1.5 baths (full bath shared, half bath private), and a shared great room which includes the kitchen, projection screen, and dining room which you are welcome to use. My personal space is separated from yours by a large sliding barn door that's nearly sound proof when closed. I have spaces in both the front and back yard for sitting and relaxing, including a 10x20 screened gazebo near a fire pit at the way back of my fenced yard. SMOKING is fine outside. My back yard is fenced, and if you have a dog who gets along with mine, feel free to let your pet loose. Since I foster a single dog at a time, in addition to my own 2 dogs and a cat, it sometimes isn't advisable to mix all the dogs.

Autres points à prendre en note
I have spent my entire life traveling, 1st as the child of an Air Force officer, and then as the wife of a construction manager whose job took him all over the country. I know, intimately, what it takes to make your stay in my home an exceptional experience, and have endeavored to provide everything you might need. Always feel free to contact me.

ABOUT PETS: I have 2 friendly but large dogs named Sasha and Kanji, and a inside/outside cat named Peace. I usually have a 3d large dog since I foster dogs needing a transition home before permanent adoption. I am perfectly willing to keep my dogs separate from guests. If you bring a pet, there is always a chance he'll run into my dogs by accident, so all I ask is that your pet is not in any way aggressive. I have a doggy door in my apt that accesses a large fenced backyard - if our dogs get along well, you can let yours in the back anytime through the laundry room door. At the dog park, my dogs get along with everyone. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact me.

Dead end street with very little traffic, zero crime, lots of woods. Since I'm miles from Rt. 16, you rarely hear any traffic noise. I have several neighbors, both retired and actively employed. If you take a walk, there are often folks walking, or standing in the road chatting, with and without dogs. Usually very quiet, though occasionally, late at night you might hear coyote howls if you're outside.

There are two parking spaces for you to use, in the front.

Durant votre séjour
I may or may not be around the house much. I'm a part time art student at EIU year round and part time teacher at a local private school during the fall/spring semesters. I WILL always respond to you as soon as possible via the airbnb app or my cell phone unless I'm in class. Currently a woman friend of mine is living in the single twin room, so the single twin is not available. Lisa would be happy to cook for you with enough warning.
