Hi Ricki, your girlfriend very pleased with the apartment when she collected the keys and done the inspection. She told me that you were stayed in the near by hotel waiting for your own apartment become available , because your tenants refuse to move out until early August. Your girlfriend told me that stay at my apartment will save lots of money compare to the hotel rate. You booked my apartment from early June to early August, the rate your have been charged are the special long term rate. However in less than a month, when your own apartment becomes available due to your tenants found the place and moved out, you want to cancel the booking and moved out from my apartment, I told you that if the Airbnb can unblock the calendar, and if I receive the booking for this period, I am more than happy to refund you most of the money (less any extra expense occurred ). When I received a booking, I already told Airbnb to take 85% from the new payment as refund to give back to you, but when the cleaner went to apartment only one set of key has been returned by you. When I request you to return the keys ASAP, you wrote back to me unless you receive full refund, otherwise you won't give back the keys, (*the fact is you were charged at monthly rate, however you stayed less than a month) For the safety of my next guests, I have to get Lock Smith people to change the new lock, and the cost has to deduct from the refund amount you suppose be received.
Few things I would like to point out :
1. my apartment may not be as good as these brand new apartments, but definitely no way near as bad as you described, otherwise you wouldn't stay there for almost a month. All the doona, pillows, kitchen ware are all brand new when I change this apartment from long term lease to Airbnb short term rental.
2. This is definitely a studio apartment, unilodge is for university students only, has lot of common area, you wouldn't able to live there unless you can proof that you are student. My apartment definitely doesn't fit into unilodge category. You moved whole van load of your personal goods into the apartment, I would doubted if there is a room for you to put air mattress up inside my studio apartment.
3. I sent my travelling documents/itinerary to Airbnb to show them that I am away from Melbourne until 20th July, its a little bit hard compare to I am physically here, but I did the best I could try to arrange new bookings, so can give you more refund, but you are doing the totally opposite to make things more difficult.
I am very disappointed for you to leave such untruthful review. I wish I never had you as my guests.
