Casa Sestina is built in the shelter of the ancient walls of the medieval village of Maranola.
It has a wonderful hanging garden with a beautiful view on the Gulf of Gaeta.
This house can host at most 6 people and it develops on one level, with direct access to the garden,
a wide double bedroom, one bathroom, the kitchen and the living with two sofa-bed.
Another bedroom is reachable from the garden.
The main double room offers a sweet morning wake-up with a beautiful view on the mountain and the sea from a circle window.
From the garden you can reach a romantic outhouse where a double bed is built on rocks.
Thanks to the thick walls, Casa Sestina is fresh during the summer and, thanks to the heating system it's hot during the winter.
This house is very special not just for its beauty, but also because it hosts all the artists involved into the contemporary art festival which take place in Maranola every august; in fact you can admire their artworks on the walls of Casa Sestina.

Maranola (suburb of Formia) is a medieval village that stands on a rock at the base of the Natural Parc of Mountain Aurunci's and overlooks the Gulf of Gaeta. It's halfway distance from see and mountain, as well as from the great cities Napoli and Roma.
The village of Maranola has the sense of a small traditional community, not a turistic place at all, even if it is full optional: in the square of the village you can find all you need: one tobacco shop, two coffe-shop, two bakery and food-shop, one pharmacy, two restaurants with typical local food, free parking. Casa Sestina is in the heart of village, few steps away from the square.
In few minutes by car or bus you can reach the town of Formia and Gaeta, from where you can take boats to Pontine Islands (Ponza, Ischia, Capri, Ventotene).
In 10 minutes by car you can reach the beaches of Formia or the the beautiful peaks of the Monti Auruncis (the highest m 1533)

Stop to Formia-Gaeta, 60 minutes from Napoli or Roma.
Bus from station Formia-Gaeta, direction Maranola (15 minutes)

120 minutes drive from Napoli or Roma
From Rome you take the route A1 direction Napoli and after 100 km about, take the exit Cassino. Then, follow the route in direction Formia, a beautiful route between the green mountains. Pay attention to speed camera! When you 're in Formia, near the hospital you will find the way to Maranola, a route that climb on the hill, to the final destination: Piazza Antonio Ricca - 04023 Maranola, Formia (LT).

Ciao, siamo Marco e Isa.
Siamo fratelli e amiamo Maranola fin da bambini, e la nostra casa Sestina (il nome di nostra nonna), dove abbiamo trascorso bellissimi momenti con parenti e amici.
Siamo sempre stati molto aperti, ci piace ospitare tante persone, amici e artisti. Ora abbiamo voglia di allargare la nostra rete di conoscenze e per questo abbiamo deciso di entrare nella comunità di AirBnB.
Marco (25 anni) studia ingegneria al Politecnico di Torino, dove vive da 5 anni, con molta nostalgia per il sole, il mare e le montagne di Maranola. Il suo passatempo preferito è l'origami e giocare con il suo gatto Calì.
Isa (30 anni) lavora nel campo dell'arte contemporanea, ha vissuto per 12 anni a Roma e ora ha deciso di ritornare a vivere a Maranola, dove organizza con successo il Festival d'arte contemporanea SEMINARIA, che anima ogni anno i vicoli del borgo.
