The ground floor of this 1860's townhouse provides two bedrooms, a bathroom and an open plan living space with kitchenette, and has just been renovated using Passive House principles. It is located on a bucolic Clinton Hill block bookended by Michelin star rated The Finch at one end and Locanda Vini e Olii at the other.
The entire space has been renovated with white oak flooring, triple pane windows (no drafts!), mini-split heat/cooling, sleek LED lighting, and a special system providing a constant supply of fresh air.
The kitchenette is equipped with quartz countertop and the most efficient appliances we could get our hands on - induction cooktop (best of gas and electric!), microwave/speed oven, dishwasher (super quiet model) and top mount refrigerator (less bending down!).
The bathroom is off the hallway and has brand new Hansgrohe / Duravit fixtures with a power shower over the tub and a dual-flush loo to save precious water. The larger bedroom has a queen-size bed and lots of closet space while the smaller bedroom has a single day bed (with a proper mattress) and some drawers.
The open plan living space has a couple of bar stools to pull up to the kitchen island, a 2-seat sofa, a Secretary full of books and a pull-down desk for a laptop. Note that there is no TV service, other than whatever you can stream to your own devices.
