Règlement intérieur

• Our preference is for weekly letting starting on our changeover day which is currently Friday. Short breaks are accepted in low season or for late bookings for unsold weeks close to their start. They should not straddle the changeover day. For a quote email request.
•Maximum number of guests - 4
•No early check in or late check out. Check in time is after 4pm on the day of your arrival and check out time is before 10am on the day of your departure.
•Entry to and exit from the cottage through the back door only (except in case of emergency)
•Boots or wet outdoor gear not to be brought into the property (boots to be left on the back door steps or stored along with wet clothing in the hut)
•Property to be aired each day by opening all the windows (remember to close them when you go out)
•Open window in bathroom before showering or using bath and use the sponge and squeegee to remove surplus water afterwards
•Products (for example, baby wipes) other than toilet paper not to be to be disposed of in toilet (risk of blockage if this rule not observed)
•Elderly neighbours not to be disturbed at any time
•No candles, no damage or no illegal activity
•No items belonging to the cottage to be removed
•Breakages or items not working to be notified immediately by emailing host
•Cottage to left clean and tidy
•Used crockery and utensils to be cleaned in dishwasher before departure
•Doors of the washer/dryer and dishwasher to be left slightly ajar
•Beds to be stripped and used linen and towels to be placed at the foot of the beds at end of stay (we do the laundry of these items)
•All rubbish to be placed in the green bin before departure (Thursday is the day for collection of rubbish so make sure that all containers have been emptied on Wednesday night)
•Doors and windows and the hut and garden store to be securely locked on departure
•The key to the back door to be placed in the key safe and the key safe locked securely before departure

Breach of any of the rules may result in forfeiture of your security deposit but this does not limit any claim for a larger sum of money.

The house is in a nice quiet location just far enough away from the controlled parking area in the centre of Bowness that noise and parking either in the drive or on the road is not an issue. Should you not wish to touch the care once you've arrived, it also has good access to both nice walking and off-road cycling tracks pretty much on it's doorstep. Visiting the nearest restaurants and shops in Bowness is a 5 to 10 minute walk down a steep(ish) hill, perhaps a little longer coming back up. A trip into Windermere takes maybe another 10 minute on top. In both cases taxi's are readily available and in our experience are a more sensible option to trying to drive and park yourself (both Bowness and Windermere have limited central parking and the larger overflow parks are as much of a walk as from the bungalow). The bungalow is warm, really nicely up together and has been thoughtfully modernised with good quality appliances and fittings that work well (I particularly loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom and the quality shower). Communication and instructions with John were clear, business like and friendly. John's evidently takes great efforts with this property and our stay was a real pleasure.

超级棒的房子,住过太多的hotel真的很开心能够住到带花园和后院的房子,完全不同的体验,设施虽然不是很新,但是房子很舒服,除了房东没有给垃圾袋、厨房纸、卫生纸、洗衣液、这些我个人认为BNB该有的东西之外其他都有,长住也很舒服,洗碗机洗衣机全部齐全,浴缸也很舒服(建议泡之前自己消毒一下,毕竟那么多人用过),小夫妻小情侣来享受二人世界很棒,三口之家来住也很不错。 房东人超级好、回复很快、有什么东西也都给的帮助,总之来说很开心能zhuzai这样子的房子里,圆满了我们一个有花园的梦,不过还是建议房东,稍微收拾打理一下花园吧,挺可惜的那么好看的花园长了很多杂草,很多花也枯萎了。 总体来说、100分的话打90分哦!

Exceptional location. Nicely between Bowness and Windermere so you can walk to both. Leave the car. Home is Clean and organized. Location great for countryside walks and very quiet street. Host is concerned with keeping high standards. Recent upgrades. Nice back Yard and gated car park. Thanks John.

We had a wonderful time in Windermere, beautiful cottage, well kept and clean. Cottage had everything we needed and couldn't ask for more.

This is a beautiful home with easy access to both Bowmore and Windermere. It's perfect for hill walking and John provides all the brochures and maps you need to get you started. We arrived by train and it is a bit of a hike (about a mile) from the station with a pretty steep hill to reach the house. More encouragement to pack light! We loved this house and our visit to the Lakes

We recommend that guests who arrive by train take a taxi from Windermere station to the cottage. It's not expensive and takes only a few minutes. We also suggest that before taking a taxi they shop in Windermere (Booths supermarket is at the station and has a wonderful selection of groceries!)

The Neighbourhood was very safe and quaint without much traffic, providing a very peaceful environment to enjoy the Lake District. However the cottage is not very easily accessible as we had arrived at night hence we took quite a Long time trying to locate it. Tthe cottage is very clean and we like the heater system in the toilet and on the rack, which is very useful to dry clothes.

In over 3 years Wong is the first guest who has found any difficulty locating the cottage. Precise instructions are given and if followed there should be no difficulty.

My wife and I are both retired and split our time between England and Spain.

The cottage (Ryebank) has been in the family for more than 50 years. In 2013 we decided to renovate it and rent it out for holidays. It is in excellent condition throughout and has a tranquil, light and airy feel to it. Its location is so convenient for Bowness-on-Windermere: an excellent base for exploring the Lake District National Park with its magical lakes, mountains, fells and delightful countryside.

When we visit the cottage we enjoy the walking, eating out and the excellent pubs. What a vibrant and exciting place the Lake District is nowadays. There is so much to do in this wonderful location. Time for you to visit!!!

Changeovers are handled by Mark and Emma who live nearby. They do a brilliant job.

This is our third season. We have enjoyed high occupancy rates throughout and extremely positive feedback from all our guests. We were delighted this year when VisitEngland gave it a Gold Award for the second year running in recognition of its exceptional quality. Most of our bookings are arranged through Owners Direct (no booking fee) and our local agents but Airbnb has provided a few bookings as well.
