Chrisa's place is great as a couples' getaway, provided no one is booked beside you. Otherwise it would be shared space: beach and yard. The studio apartment has a beach front yard with a great for view, surrounded by grape vine fence for privacy; not 100% coverage but it's enough. There are 2 gates leading to the ocean: one is to a rocky beach, the other to a pebbled beach. If you're looking for some magical white sand beach, this is not it. It's a rough pebbled beach and water shoes wouldn't be amiss. We went barefoot with no problems but I can see how some ppl might want shoes. The rocks are quite slippery. The ocean water is super salty and you'll float with ease. The apartment itself is very basic, with towels, 2 twin beds pushed together, a small kitchenette (fridge and freezer, gas stove and oven, sink, and basic utensils, a small standing shower bathroom; an outdoor shower you can use after your ocean swim; a hose and large basins to wash laundry; and a drying rack. Everything was clean and no frills. So the basics are there and we didn't need anything else. The ocean was the highlight of the location. There are lots of rocky outcroppings you can explore and I suggest bringing goggles or snorkels. There are lots of fish, crabs, sea urchins, starfish, etc. that you can find if you are in the right areas. There are also caves you can explore but they are a further swim away. I suggesting walking further into town towards the monastery (about a 20 min walk) and taking the 10€ boat tour by the beach, to find out where the few caves are. Chrisa provided us with a large bottle of water and a bunch of grapes for snacking. There is also a little convenience/grocery store across the street and we were able to cook ourselves breakfast and dinner. There are several restaurants in the area; we suggest Alipa, closer to the beach and monastery area. Nereids was closer but entrées were disappointingly bland. There are also lots of bars in the area. We ended our stay at Acron Beach Bar (right next door) since checkout was at noon and we had 5h to kill before heading to the airport. Chrisa was very nice and would have offered to let us stay later but she had guests coming the next day so the place needed to be prepped. She did hold on to our luggage so we could hang out without all the hassle. 10/10 we would gladly come back. We would invite another couple and book the next door space too!

I enjoyed my stay very much as Chrisa and her mom are very helpful and always reachable! The apartment is very basic and cute. The view is magical and even better from pictures when you go and see yourself! This is probably the most competitive advantage comparing this airbnb place with hotels. The grapes from the garden tasted so delicious as if I never had grapes before! The supermarket is just upstairs and next to Nausika Taverna restaurant, where I had most of my meals, which are all homemade and delicious! Do check out Aladino restaurant as well (200m away) - highly recommended by Trip Advisor. The Akron beach bar is only within 2 minutes walk away offering sunbathing and great dining experience! Diving courses and boat/car rentals are just around the corner as well. I will definitely come back for a longer stay!

Lovely little apartment with direct (10metres! ) access to private beach . Everything needed within walking distance . We particularly enjoyed a nightly drink at Petrino's garden , lovely cold beer and the best olives in the world ! They also throw in complimentary Greek lessons ! . Nausika ,opposite the approach to the apartment is both a well equipped ' supermarket' and a lovely family run restaurant serving excellent food . Other places to enjoy are La Grotta ,a very 'cool ' bar and Akron beach bar/restaurant . Our host Chrisa was always very friendly and helpful . We have stayed here twice and will return !

Aber alles vorhanden was man braucht.
