Règlement intérieur
L'hôte n'autorise pas les animaux de compagnie ou les fêtes, et le logement est non-fumeur.
This sunny, historic Victorian home is a short 5 min walk to the heart of downtown Livingston. The home's entire upstairs is a separate unit for guests, complete with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, and bathroom. The space is cozy and private, ideal for families or couples. With sweeping views of the Absaroka mountain range, the private front porch or yard is the perfect place for sipping coffee or a beer. Drive to Yellowstone in an hour, skiing in 45 minutes, and world class fishing in just 10 minutes.

Le logement
The house is perfectly located in Livingston. Walk downtown in just 5 minutes to visit Livingston's many restaurants, art galleries, shops, and bars. Yellowstone River fishing and rafting access is less than a 10-minute drive across town. Yellowstone National Park is a scenic hour-drive south through the iconic Paradise Valley (don't forget to soak at Chico hot springs en route). In the winter, you can get to unbeatable powder at Bridger Bowl in 45-minutes or cross-country skiing throughout the Paradise Valley.

The unit is approximately 625 sq. feet -- perfect for a couple or group of four. The main room features a living area, dining area, and 3/4 kitchen. Each bedroom features memory foam mattress beds, a closet, and big windows. The master bedroom has a queen bed and lovely views of mountains and quaint surrounding neighborhood. The twin room is cozy, but spacious enough for two adults or kids. The new kitchen addition features everything guests would need, including a refrigerator, toaster oven, kettle, and french press. Even though the bathroom is on the small side, it is fully equipped with a full bath and shower.

Note: This unit is across the street from the rail tracks. This does mean occasional train noise. This is fairly ubiquitous in Livingston, but guests should be aware of potential noise. Few guests have reported disruptive noise from the trains and earplugs are provided.

The space's modern, clean decor allows the historic architectural details to stand out, like original hardwood floors throughout, large windows, and crown molding. Mature trees surrounding the property provide shade and privacy.

Guests can enjoy the property's great view from the front porch or expansive private side yard which look out onto the Absaroka mountain range above Livingston. The expansive side yard is reserved for my house guests to use, however the yard is not entirely private since access to downstairs unit is through the side yard (towards the back of the lawn). You may see me and my dogs pass through, but we don't use the yard as that is intended for upstairs guests.

Accès des voyageurs
The entire upstairs unit is part of the rental, along with the front porch and side yard.

Autres points à prendre en note
While the unit is very quiet in general, there are some things to be aware of. It is located on a somewhat busy neighborhood street, so there are cars passing by (though not semi trucks, etc.). The edge of the rail yard is across the street, but the rail line itself is approximately a block away form the house. The train rarely blows its horn in town, but there is the occasional train noise. No guests have reported that the train noises were disruptive and it has never woken me or my guests in the night. However, there is still the possibility that these noises will bother you, so please keep this in mind when booking.

I grew up in the west and now work on community and conservation issues here in Montana. I take every chance I can get to explore this beautiful state by biking, hiking, or SUP'ing, usually with my two old dogs in tow. In a previous life, I worked in the international adventure travel industry and I still love helping travelers figure out their perfect itinerary (upon request of course!).
