Keen amateur musician - play cello in a Fiddle Band, an orchestra and a village band. I like walking, reading, cycling, swimming, people. Retired from NHS about 5 years ago, and making the most of my time doing things I love.
I enjoy visiting other countries and meeting new people. Air B and B appeals to me for this reason.
As well as living in this tranquil spot, which is soothing to the spirit, I also love Glasgow, for its buzz and people, so I spend quite a lot of time there. There is always something interesting going on and it is so easy to get to by train or car.
People tell me this is a welcoming space, and I hope that my guests will feel relaxed and comfortable staying here.
I have just completed El Camino de Santiago (October 2016) - a 500 mile pilgrimage across the north of Spain, carrying my backpack - and will offer special rates to fellow peregrinos on application, if they are prepared to bring with them their pilgrim's passport!
