Our beautiful villa is a little world of its own and perfectly located for a holiday in Bali. There's a pool, garden, internet, TV, exercise room - everything you need - and the beach, restaurants, shopping and amenities are only minutes away.
We spend half the year in Bali and for us the house is just perfect - right in the middle of everything and yet secluded and in a little world of it's own. We've tried to make the house really comfortable and practical so that it's a pleasure to stay in and relax by the pool or catch up on your reading or DVDs (all the latest DVDs are available round the corner for around 6,000 Rp each!). But equally it's the perfect base for exploring or beach life and it's always great to come back to.
Whether there are two of you, two couples or a small family, everything you need is to hand: wifi, pool, exercise machine, beautiful garden, satellite TV. The two bedrooms are airconditioned and they're both dark and quiet. There's a double bed in each bedroom and the bed in the second bedroom (very firm kapok mattress) doubles as a "day bed" and also as a baby's playpen. There's also a rocking cradle for babies.
The kitchen is fairly basic but serviceable - two gas rings, microwave, sink, fridge with ice compartment, bottled water dispenser, pans, crockery and cutlery. We find it’s actually cheaper to eat out and you’ll quickly see the variety and quality of restaurants and “warungs” is amazing.
The bathroom is modern with 2 wash-basins, toilet, bath/shower. The wash-basins and bath/shower have mixer attachments. There's plenty of shelving and space for hanging clothes here and in the main bedroom.
The pool is 9 meters long and has a big shallow end. The pool water tends to stay nice and cool.
There are lots of green “bean bag” type garden mattresses - feel free to move them around but please put them under cover if you go out as the sun will quickly bleach them.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
Because we spend a lot of the year in the UK we won't usually be around to greet you but Ketut and the two Mades are always close at hand and are very helpful and experienced. I'm always available by email or phone.
Staff and Cleaning
Ketut, his wife Made and Ibu Made Nia together look after the house and they will come every day except Sunday and public holidays to clean the house and look after the garden. They’ll also change the sheets twice a week, check the drinking water and gas and generally make sure everything’s OK. They normally look in around 4.30pm for about half an hour but let Ketut know if you’d prefer less frequent visits.
