This is a cosy cottage, in the heart of Fowey, a beautiful Cornish town.

Just a few minutes walk from Fowey's restaurants, shops and pubs and opposite a long stay car park, with easy access to the Bodinnick Ferry for Looe and Polperro and just 15 minutes from the world famous Eden project.

Please be aware that the cottage is two hundred years old and has low door frames, arches and steep stairs with small steps. Also the steps to the decking at the rear are steep and not child friendly.

Fowey is an ancient town but is also a working port. It's colourful history involves pirates and French invasions and it remains a vibrant town today.

We are lucky to have many independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants which make the town centre, a few minutes walk away, a lovely place to spend time, as well as a Town Quay as a central space.

Unlike most holiday home owners in Fowey, we are very happy to live in the town. Our local connections can help out with any questions you may have. Nick (my husband) and I bought Albert Place in 2011. I had spent an idyllic childhood here, in a house which hosted students from around the world, after-school evenings on the beach, sand in my hair and dodgy tales of Gossips ‘nightclub’. Nick (though it was hardly his fault) grew up in Hampshire. We both moved to London to find our fortunes, Sinead as a press officer, working with charities and social entrepreneurs, Nick as a journalist (Guardian, Times Magazine, Radio Times) and author (Dalek I Loved You). After meeting over a love of karaoke and pub quizzes, we waved goodbye to the city for Fowey with our baby daughter, Regan (named after John Thaw’s character in The Sweeney), so she too could have afternoons on a beach. Fortunately, Gossips had shut down. Together we set up the popular Love Fowey website and Nick also runs the Any Old Lights vintage marine lighting shop next to the church. Another wee one, Soren, came along (named from our love of Scandinavian films and crime dramas), and we now live around 10 minutes up the hill. We are lucky enough to live in one of the most gorgeous places in the UK - we know the town and surrounding areas very well and are happy to help with any requests you may have
