This Hoosier Hospitality award winner offers guests an experience that is memorable and unusual to many travelers. While comfort, restful sleep, and a good shower is guaranteed; the surroundings of 150 acres of prairies, woods, and meadows are a connection to nature that is breathtaking in any season.

Le logement

The farmhouse has been designed to share with others. There are four total guest rooms with an occupancy of two people per room. We are a family destination, and welcome small children and pets with special arrangements. The house is large with a kitchen, laundry room, dining room, tourism parlor, media parlor, porches, and outdoor spaces. If you'd like to meet other folks during your stay, you will find interesting people. If you prefer privacy, the space is large enough for you to get away for some individual or couple quiet time.

Accès des voyageurs

Guests are on vacation from cooking so the kitchen is usually not reserved. There is a guest refrigerator and microwave in the laundry room. Dishes and silverware are provided as are supplies needed for a picnic or a carry-in meal. Guests may use our dining room for meals, if they desire. All common areas, such as porches and parlors may be shared.

Échanges avec les voyageurs

A stay at the farmhouse includes access to a professional innkeeper, Claudia. I have separate living quarters, and turn the house over to guests during their stay. I am available by mobile phone 24 hours a day, even though I may not always be on site.

Autres remarques

Our success over twelve years of hosting guests is due to our professional understanding of hospitality. Guests can be sure that their safety is assured with appropriate fire protection and health certification. Your choice to stay with a local innkeeper who can advise you on the treasures and blessings of her home town adds to your experience.

Guests return year after year to our home-like setting. They look forward to the comfort of what is familiar, and to what has been enhanced and updated.

Quaint farmhouse. Very comfortable beds and a nice breakfast. Good location for exploring the area beaches and sightseeing. Claudia was professional and provided detailed insight's into the local area.

This bed and breakfast is a historical property and furnished to evoke that, while also having modern amenities. It was enjoyable to meet the other guests. Claudia was extremely professional, and a fabulous cook. Breakfasts were near-gourmet. The property was extensive, with more than I had time to experience, as I was not on vacation, but on training. It would be worth a trip back to experience the farm more fully. I am happy to recommend this property.

The Folk Victorian Farmhouse is a unique treasure that is convenient to the Lake Michigan beaches of Indiana and Michigan. Two of us were comfortable in our corner room (#4) with tall windows on two sides and well-done vintage charm. But the common areas are where you would want to spend your time. There are many inviting spaces to read , relax, or watch some television. The high quality of this restoration is noteworthy, and Claudia has been true a theme of very practical and simple elegance. Claudia is a great host who goes out of her way to put her guests at ease. Her breakfasts are not to be missed!

Claudia is great. Super chill and very good advice about things to do and see. Her breakfasts were delicious. And the house was super cool. 100 years old and all original. We didn't realize it was part of a bigger sustainable development until we got there. Great place to take a walk and see all the cool, unique houses.

I'm sorry that you missed that we have two complimentary bikes for guest use. At your next visit I'll be sure and show you where the bike rack is. Nice meeting you and Karen.

My husband and I loved staying at Claudia's Folk Victorian Farmhouse! The house and the property are delightful. The property is expansive and includes beautiful plants, trees, walking trails and much more. My husband and I loved sitting on Claudia's front porch, so relaxing! We both enjoyed our breakfast which included eggs from Claudia's farm and local produce! I particularly enjoyed Claudia's cucumber and lemon water and afternoon cookies. My husband and I would stay at Claudia's BnB again!

Although my stay with Claudia was short, it was great nonetheless! The b&b was exactly as pictured and so much more. The house is beautifully charming and Claudia is truly a gem. I found the peace of mind I was looking for along with a great breakfast and a wonderfully comfortable room. Claudia really personalized my welcome even though I checked in after hours and was there to see me off. I highly recommend a stay here and I will be coming back in the future! P.s. There is also a fantastic winery like 2 minutes away that Claudia recommended. .. Just fabulous!

I respect and honor history, enjoy genealogy, antique restoration, cooking, and sharing my 1896 farmhouse with those that appreciate a unique and comfortable space surrounded by an agricultural legacy to open land. Hosting guests allows me to meet people that also celebrate the gifts of connecting with nature.
