This Hoosier Hospitality award winner offers guests an experience that is memorable and unusual to many travelers. While comfort, restful sleep, and a good shower is guaranteed; the surroundings of 150 acres of prairies, woods, and meadows are a connection to nature that is breathtaking in any season.
The farmhouse has been designed to share with others. There are four total guest rooms with an occupancy of two people per room. We are a family destination, and welcome small children and pets with special arrangements. The house is large with a kitchen, laundry room, dining room, tourism parlor, media parlor, porches, and outdoor spaces. If you'd like to meet other folks during your stay, you will find interesting people. If you prefer privacy, the space is large enough for you to get away for some individual or couple quiet time.

Guests are on vacation from cooking so the kitchen is usually not reserved. There is a guest refrigerator and microwave in the laundry room. Dishes and silverware are provided as are supplies needed for a picnic or a carry-in meal. Guests may use our dining room for meals, if they desire. All common areas, such as porches and parlors may be shared.

A stay at the farmhouse includes access to a professional innkeeper, Claudia. I have separate living quarters, and turn the house over to guests during their stay. I am available by mobile phone 24 hours a day, even though I may not always be on site.
Our success over twelve years of hosting guests is due to our professional understanding of hospitality. Guests can be sure that their safety is assured with appropriate fire protection and health certification. Your choice to stay with a local innkeeper who can advise you on the treasures and blessings of her home town adds to your experience.
Guests return year after year to our home-like setting. They look forward to the comfort of what is familiar, and to what has been enhanced and updated.
Claudia often says, "We only have one rule. And that is...that there are no rules." We know that people are respectful and do the right thing while sharing a space. We expect that, and we are never disappointed.

I respect and honor history, enjoy genealogy, antique restoration, cooking, and sharing my 1896 farmhouse with those that appreciate a unique and comfortable space surrounded by an agricultural legacy to open land. Hosting guests allows me to meet people that also celebrate the gifts of connecting with nature.
