The Tucson Convention Center and a stop for the modern street car which connects us to the University neighborhood are both a block away. The Wishing Shrine, a mysterious local landmark, is one block away. Midtown Liquors, a local convenience, is a couple of blocks away. Well loved Mexican restaurant El Minuto is 150 paces East; a Spanish restaurant "Casa Vincente" an, Ethiopian restaurant "Cafe Desta" and the breakfast spot "5 Points" are all within a few blocks. The whole of downtown is within a 1/2 mile and very walkable, and now the street car links us to the West side Mercado, the 4th Avenue district and the University area for many more choices. The neighborhood itself if beautiful and interesting to look at. Many old adobe houses date from the turn of the century.
