The 3 br/2,5bth/6 rooms home is located in Mount Pleasant. 2 min walk to the Zoo, Adams Morgan, Conv Center 2 stations away, Marriott Wardman 20 min walk. Sleeps 8-10 in shared beds, 7 in individual beds, 5 in individual rooms.
This 2000 sq. ft recently renovated and artistically designed 3-br row house unit is located in the central yet very private and quiet historical District of Mount Pleasant (right across the east entrance to the National Zoo). In between of red, yellow and green metro lines, all within walking distance or by the metro bus. For those with a car parking is available right by the house with the free city guest permit.
Original cathedral ceilings with beams and arches carefully preserved over the last century combined with eclectic art-deco elements, such as original art and lighting, tile murals and wooden decorative elements added in the process of recent major renovation, recreate the authentic Nation's Capital style of the house originally built in 1917. Numerous skylights fill the house with bright light. Backyard is fully fenced.
Fireplace available for use in January-March, creating unique winter lodge atmosphere for your stay.
The property is so expansive by DC standards that even travelers from large groups will enjoy plenty of individual space and rooms. The additional sleeping arrangements include 3 pull-out beds with real springs mattresses (a queen sofa, and full sofa and a twin XL pull out ottoman). The king bed in the bedroom #3 converts into 2 twins to accommodate larger groups or kids (upon request).
The home features 3 spacious bedrooms on the second floor:
- The master bedroom with a vaulted ceiling overlooking the historic neighborhood (1 king size real bed and 1 full size pullout couch with real mattress, a crib or toddler cot as an option);
- the second bedroom (queen bed) with tall 3-sectional windows;
- a spacious third bedroom (a king bed, converts into 2 twins upon request - please, indicate your preference at the time of booking).
The first level of the home has:
- a generously sized living room with a fireplace separated from the sitting room by a door for privacy (39 inch wide twin/single sleeper bed with real mattress);
- a banquet-sized sitting/TV room with beautifully refinished original cherry-wood trim on the ceilings (queen pull-out sofa with real mattress, a pocket sliding door separates it from the fireplace room);
- a large breakfast/family room with a floor-to-ceiling bay window and terracotta tile floors.
Because of the 1st floor layout (not one living area but 3 large separate rooms, one with a sliding door and a half bath), the house can sleep comfortably 8-10 people in shared queen/king beds; 7 people each in individual bed; and 5 people each in individual room.
There are two fully renovated two full bathrooms with marble floors, murals and Grohe fixtures on the second floor with skylights. A modern kitchen with granite counters, marble backsplash and stainless appliances with all necessary equipment opens into the breakfast area. The breakfast area extends onto a vast summer terrace/deck/garden in the backyard for sole use of the house guests. The house also features designer lighting throughout, wide halls on both levels and plenty of storage space. Parking by the property with a guest permit (upon request). Private washer and dryer for the house. Wireless internet, Roku for Netflix, cable TV with HBO. Hardwood throughout.

In many cases we will be able to meet you when you arrive, but when we are not available, we will provide you with the code to the padlock with access key to the house, and will send you the map plan one day prior to your arrival. The basement area is not included in the rental.

The damage deposit for stays longer than 20 days is $500. Please, contact us in advance to receive a special offer for longer stays with damage deposit adjusted according to the duration of your stay.
All stays exceeding 2 weeks are subject to the “utilities allowance” policy: the guest pays utilities against a pro-rated utility bill if the billed amount exceeds the “utilities allowance” agreed upon with the host at the time of the booking.
The property is professionally managed by a full-time host with 8 years experience in corporate rental and hospitality business.
Strictly no pets unit and no smoking unit ($200 clean-up fee applies to the guest deposit for smoking indoors or within 20 feet from the premises)
The neighborhood is quiet and the unit is not set up for entertainment or loud activities (loud music, partying, slamming of furniture and luggage) and not following this rule will result in the loss of security deposit. Only persons indicated on the booking can reside/visit the property, subject to max occupancy.
Children of any age are welcome.
Guests are not expected to do any cleaning, but instead to treat the property with reasonable care following basic sanitary rules, and avoiding damage to fixtures and appliances. The guests are expected to exercise due diligence immediately notifying the host of any damages/malfunctions discovered upon arrival, in order for us to ensure proper maintenance and good quality services for all future guests. The guest is responsible to the host for any damages that may arise as a result of his stay according to airbnb policy.
Late check out (by 4pm) can be arranged only if we don't have another guest checking in the same day. We are not able to offer late check out after 4pm. The guest is responsible for all host expenses/losses in case of holdover (late check out without host authorization), including but not limited to the additional cleaning fee, the rent for additional day, any refunds issued for inconvenience/lost booking to the next guest etc.
By booking this accommodation the guest agrees to waive any tenancy or homestead rights under DC law, and acknowledges that any consideration paid to the host represents a fee for hospitality services.
