Eclectic. Bright. Fun. Funky. Raw. Charming. Every room has a view of Manhattan, exposed brick, high ceilings, natural light, roof deck w/ furniture for brunch/wine/beer, laundry room, small gym, & garden makes this place a home. Very cool neighbors. Gentrifying neighborhood.
We are a married couple, both in the tough NYC real estate business, working for the same company & team. We are renting our second bedroom in order to meet new people, build connections, and also be able to work in an industry that we love.
Keep in mind, this is an NYC apartment. Space is a commodity! This is a small bedroom. The apartment is very simple- it has no pets, no animals, nor reptiles. It does face an avenue block, so if you are a light sleeper this apartment is NOT for you. Also this apartment is not a good fit for pregnant women.
We have a good size kitchen with great counter space to cook, a french press to make your coffee quick, a blender for your kale green smoothies, rain fall shower head, towels, linens, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, and clothes steamer.
The room has a dedicated AC (for summers) and dedicated heater (for winters). Not the largest room but great for what you need (sleep, shower, & surf on the web). Good for 1 person, really tight for 2 (though we do allow up to 2 people to stay there if you're desperate for a place with a good price). It has a nice size closet, a full size bed, a leaf table that you can lift up when needed, a stool, a hamper (for dirty clothes), a mirror, and a desk lamp.
You can check in anytime. If it is during the day, David may be around. If not, we leave keys with the deli/bodega downstairs. If it is late at night, we will be at home or we have a lockbox.
The area is changing. Mainly residential but a 10-15 minute train/stop ride to Williamsburg, Fort Greene, Greenpoint for some hot restaurants, bars, parks & fun activities.
We are very accommodating however, we don't have a lot of time during the day & can not offer private showings.
Since Airbnb offers incidental insurance, we prefer to book through the website and therefore can not do any offline dealings.
Additionally, we price very competitively, therefore we can not offer discounts at this time.
Sorry but "No" to:
-People who are pregnant (this is a walkup).
-People who do not speak some English (we need to be able to communicate).
-People who are moving & need to store their stuff (not enough space).
-People who are there all day every day (we work from home).
-Ultra anti-social people
PLEASE COMMUNICATE WITH US FOR ANYTHING YOU NEED TO MAKE IT A BETTER EXPERIENCE.

Échanges avec les voyageurs
We have created an Airbnb guidebook with favorite eats, sight seeing locations, bars, and restaurants around NYC in the map below. We are outgoing, talkative, charismatic, laid back people.
Our schedule fluctuates- sometimes we are around, sometimes we are out of town.
We love providing a five star experience for our guests. If you need anything in order to make yourself more comfortable or have any questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to ask! We will try our best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.
We socialize & interact with our guests. Individuals who are chill, can communicate, watch TV together, & chat together casually, preferred. You can go out & do your own thing but we are here if you need us.
If you do not know how to communicate to us about things that you don't like that might affect your stay, DO NOT BOOK. We don't like surprise reviews/ratings. Passive aggressiveness/non-communication is NOT welcomed!
We make it a very comfortable environment for all guests to communicate to us & are very open. Chilled & relaxed guests welcomed only. No one wants a headache.

- Shoeless house, please take shoes off at the hallway.
- Guests need to turn off heat, AC, or fans before leaving the apartment (electricity is expensive in New York!).
- It is preferred if guests eat in kitchen instead of bedroom (no one wants ants/bugs/rodents to show up).
- Clean dishes/utensils if any are used.
- No metal forks or spoons on the teflon pans (or it will not be non-stick anymore).
- Do not flush large amounts of toilet paper or female hygienic products down the toilet (true story, a guest caused a massive clog- it was a stressful/embarrassing situation for everyone involved).
