Classic 60's design beach house with new bungalow located minutes walk from surf beaches and close drive to wineries, Sorrento, hot springs and golf. 3 BR's with 2 queens and 4 singles ideal for families with kids and pets. Large private fenced backyard. Boasting a new kitchen and new front deck.

Surf Central is a classic 60's beach house and new bungalow located minutes walk from one of the peninsula's best surf beaches. The sunny open plan house has two bedrooms with one queen sized bed in the master bedroom and four single beds in 2nd bedroom. The bungalow includes a queen bed, heating/cooling, an outside hot/cold shower and inside sink (no lav in bungalow).

The large fenced backyard deck overlooks a native garden providing privacy and tranquility year-round. Within walking distance is the National Park and surf beach for experienced surfers or dog walkers; the bay beach for sailing, wind/kite surfing, swimming, snorkeling, etc. Within a seven minute drive are the Peninsula Hot Springs and countless golf courses including driving ranges. Two minute drive to Sorrento for fine dining and 5 minute drive to Portsea.

There is a large fenced backyard with sunny deck ideal for outside BBQ'ing. For winter retreats, stoke the wood stove (BYO wood). Pets welcome with fenced yard. No WiFi available but there is good phone reception.

Handy items to accompany you: toilet paper, milk, coffee, beer and wine.

1.Check in after 4PM: Checkout after 11AM. The keys for the front door and bungalow are in a key-safe on the gas meter to the right of the front door. Please return keys to safe.

2.BBQ: Make sure you turn the gas off at the cylinder after use.

3.Linen and blankets: Linen stored in laundry cupboard with extra blankets and pillows in 2nd bedroom. If you use our linen it must be washed (on quick cycle only), dried, folded and put away please. DO NOT OVERLOAD THE WASHING MACHINE and allow time to do the washing.

4.Heating and cooling: use white remote controls and fans are provided in the bedrooms. Be sure to turn off all heating and cooling to avoid extra charges!

5.Fireplace: BYO Wood. Extra charges apply if our wood is used.

A Coonara wood stove may be used if you provide your own wood. Please clean out the stove before you leave to avoid further cleaning costs and place cold ashes in the rubbish bin NOT IN THE GARDEN please.

6.Crockery, Appliances: included are colander, large non-stick pan, saucepans, electric toaster, kettle, sandwich maker and food predecessor including juicer, a Nespresso Coffee machine, milk frother and coffee plunger (no coffee provided).

7.Stereo: there is a plug-in to your media device below the TV. NOTE, No noise on back deck after 11PM please. We have had complaints from our neighbours. Please respect the peace.

8.Second fridge: only use if required and please turn it off and leave doors open to dry.

9.Toilet, washer and dryer:
•only use toilet paper for septic tank (critical).
•bring a spare roll of toilet paper just in case to avoid disappointment.
•only use the "quick" cycle for washing machine (~30 mins) as the other settings take >2hrs. DO NOT OVERLOAD WAHING MACHINE.

10.Not Included: coffee, tea, laundry powder, dish washing tabs. (One spare toilet paper provided)

11. Bungalow: turn on power at fuse box at rear of bungalow and please lock and turn off power at fuse box when leaving. If the power fails could be associated with the outside lights on bungalow.

12.Checkout at 11AM checklist:
•no dripping taps
•all appliances switched off at the wall
•turn off all heaters, cooling systems and BBQ at gas cylinder.
•leave place fundamentally clean with dishes washed and put away
•check washing machine and dryer for any items.
•fireplace cleaned out and cold ashes in rubbish. Do not put hot ashes in rubbish. Worst case find a heat resistant container and dump the ashes on Central Ave.
•mosquito zappers are unplugged if used
•all doors, windows and bungalow locked
•return house and bungalow keys to combination lock safe on gas meter and muddle the code.

13. Please put both bins out on the street in front of mail box before you leave on Sunday or if you are staying Sunday night.

14.Dogs are permitted at Surf Central. The backyard is fenced and secure for smallish dogs. Be aware the National Park only permits dogs on the beach before 9AM and fines are enforced. Front beach is dog-friendly and a leash-free zone. Access from Stringer Road opposite Central Ave. Approx 10-minute walk.

Charlie was a terrific host. He responded to our enquiries immediately and was very accommodating to all our requests. The house was perfect with a short walk to the back beach. Place was fantastic, Charlie- just what we needed. Dogs loved the yard and the walks we could take them on. The bungalow out the back was a real treat with our teenage son. The yard was large and securely fenced, giving our dogs a great space within which to play and giving us peace of mind.

The place is is mint condition and recently updated- a pleasure. The studio is amazing to stay in! Great light and plenty of space for a big family or two. I stayed with my partner and mum and it was probably a bit big for us, but gave us heaps of space to hang out! Plenty of heaters for the cold nights, which we had as it was late winter freezing :)
