Le logement

It's comfy, it's peaceful, it's warm, it's beautiful and it's really cool - It's our Mongolian yurt.
Snuggledown is located at the far end of our high paddock. The paddock is small and surrounded by high bushes and trees. The view from the yurt looks down through the trees to the valley and ponds below. Guests have called it idyllic.

We believe in getting children back into outdoor play. We have set up Puddleduck Valley to give families the opportunity to give children the memories we had as children, allowing them to play outdoors in the woods, fields and stream. We've got lots of activities to keep children interested both indoor and outdoors.

We had the best time here. The yurt was clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Phil was very gracious and helped us settle right in, lighting candles in the yurt and helping us manage our bags. Phil and his family went way above and beyond to make our stay wonderful, with activities, a cook out, suggestions for places to visit etc. our kids didn't want to leave, not even to visit the beach. Having the kitchen and bathroom was great and both are clean and have everything we needed. We would absolutely visit puddle duck valley farm again in the future.

We've had a splendid time in Puddleduck Valley. It is a great location to do outdoor activities with children of various ages. It's a small scale location with a great personal touch from the owners. They really make you feel at home. Helping the farmer in the morning was a real joy for our daughter, feeding, stroking and looking for eggs for breakfast! The only downsite was that our daughter didn't want to leave at the end of our week. Thanks Phil, Melanie, Heidi en Abigail for the lovely stay.

Phil and Mel were fantastic hosts. Very welcoming and accommodating, with lots of lovely touches to make the whole experience such a pleasant one. The Yurt itself is very comfortable, with a nice big bed and beautifully decorated interior. It comes with everything you need, just like staying in a hotel, but so much more exciting. We even braved a thunderstorm in it so can vouch for it being weather proof! The private bathroom and fully equipped kitchen make it a very pleasant place to stay, it's certainly a very Glam form of camping :) The location itself couldn't be better for our young children, with lots of outdoor activities to do and so many animals to meet. Phil took the children around to feed the animals each morning and they got to see goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs. Even getting to handle some of the smaller ones. There is some great woodland to explore around the valley, with steams and ancient trees to discover. We even made some clay faces from local clay dug that morning... We'll certainly be going back again next year, and will be recommending Puddleduck Valley our friends.

Phil, Melanie & the kids made us all very welcome from arrival, and we had a wonderful weekend in the Yurt. We gave up on camping couple of years ago but this was something special - very much glamping. Puddleduck is beautiful, the facilities are excellent and Melanie's homemade scones were just great. The kids loved the goats, ducks, chickens, cats, dogs, etc.... and we'd highly recommend it to all. Pre-school toddlers would love it.

When we arrived at puddleduck we were greeted warmly and shown to our accommodation in the yurt. Phil and Melanie were great hosts and when we asked for advice about the local area, or how to light the burner in the yurt, they were incredibly helpful. The location is beautiful and peaceful and within driving distance of the beach. Thank you for a very lovely holiday.

The yurt was fantastic, clean, spacious, warm and even has its own cutlery and bbq. There was no problem with condensation or damp. The facilities were of high standard, an added bonus was that we were the only guest during our stay. We used it as a base for bude (which had a food festival), sandymouth, tintagel and padstow. Phil was an amazing host, our 2.5 son was so impressed about collecting our eggs every morning and helping to feed the goat and rabbits. Thank you again!

Melanie and Phil and their girls are the loveliest of hosts, they really made us feel at home and looked after. Melanie even cooked amazing scones for us on our arrival! Our kids 4 &8 years old both had the most marvellous time running around the wood and fields, they were allowed to pet baby rabbits and spent a mornings a farm hand that was the absolute highlight of their trip. The Yurt was amazingly warm with the wood burner on we were toasty, and really comfortable , Melanie and phil really had thought of absolutely everything, we would recommend puddle duck valley to anyone!
