I must assume, that the guest does not properly speak or understand English, which is also why she did not read or understand the listing description or her travel itinerary (which also contained full arrival instructions and the exact GPS address, which she claims never to have received). The listing clearly states the house has two couches upstairs (183 x 80 cm) and additionally two mattresses (183 x 64 cm) can be provided for two additional guests. It even gives the exact measurements of the couches and the mattresses. The couches upstairs were only pushed together (which I guess why the guest calls them a "double-bed"), but it was possible to separate them into two separate couches as well. Most guests push them together and that is how we have left them to minimize the need to push the furniture around in the room, but the guest could have easily pulled them apart to have two separate beds. All she had to do was to inspect them closer or just ask. I can only assume the guest either did not read the description or did not understand it if she was surprised to find the exact things mentioned in the listing. In addition to the couches and mattresses, upstairs there were two full chairs (not one) and two tables, in addition to the two chairs, a bench and a coffee-table downstairs. I can only assume the guest did not even enter the room (she also claimed there were no bedsheets while all four beds were fully equipped), if she only saw part of the furniture. Nowhere in the listing is the washing room called a "bathroom" but exactly what it is - a washing room. I must assume the guest doesn't know what a nordic sauna is or what a washing room in a sauna looks like, but that is exactly what a washing room for a traditional sauna looks like in this region. Besides - it was also depicted in the photos. Once again I have to assume, the guest did not even look at the photos before making the booking. As for not replying her latest AirBNB messages, I replied to all of them - saying she can find the GPS position in her travel itinerary and we will either be home or leave the door open - but looks like the AirBNB messaging system failed both of us here, as she must have not received them. For that, I have to apologize on AirBNBs behalf. When not receiving any AirBNB messages though, she could also easily have called me or even sent me SMS, as my contacts details were fully available to her. For some reason she chose not to do that. I am sorry the listing did not match the guest's expectations, but after seeing her comments, it is clear, that she did not properly read the listing description or look at the photos before making a booking and upon arrival, did not bother to properly check out the house or even ask any questions. For that however, the host cannot really be held responsible.
Anton's place is amazing. The house itself is absolutely charming, and the location is great, in the middle of Lahemaa National park. The sea is only a quick walk away. Anton is not just renting his place out, but truly cares about his guests. We had a great time there, chilling …
