I am a musician and so is my husband, Ivan. We both play the saxophone and perform in various bands and shows. We run two horn-led bands, 'The Native Oysters', which is New Orleans inspired and 'Hail Bop', modern Jazz classics via the great American songbook. We will be playing for the annual Mardi Gras gig here in Whitstable at the 'Old Neptune' pub this Shrove Tuesday, 28th Feb, and will be playing again in the street procession at this years Whitstable Oyster festival in July. We also run a popular monthly Jazz open mic night at a local music venue.
Ivan and I are very much outdoor people - we especially love rugged coastal walks.
Travel destinations this year took us to Sicily, France and Weymouth.
Ours is a vegan household; healthy living is important to us both, and we are keen supporters of local shops and supporting the farmers market, here in Whitstable. We have a small garden and enjoy growing our own food.
Between us, Ivan and I have 5 children, my two are grown up now and sometimes help out with our Airbnb guests. As hosts, we are welcoming and enjoy meeting new people from different walks of life. We love living in Whitstable and want you to come and find out why it's such a great town to visit!
