We do live in the lower part of the house so you may see us when you go through the house on your way in or out. We might be in the house during your stay and therefore, you'll see us in our daily activities. However, once you're in the apartment you have full privacy. The apartment itself has a door that can be locked.
We will be available upon request.
Access to the apartment is through the house where we live. There are 2 flights of stairs to go through before reaching the apartment. It may not be suitable for very elderly people or for those with walking impediment.
The apartment is under the roof which means ceilings are sloped. The stairs to the gallery is steep (more like a ladder). Please note that children under 6 years old will need a lot more supervision being in this apartment. The guard railings on the stairs and on the gallery are steel cables which a small child can easily pass through. Parts of the floor of the gallery are made of glass and there are french windows in the bedrooms and the living room/kitchen area.
If you happen to stay during the apple harvest season (late September to early November), you're most welcome to pick them. If you want, you're also invited to come harvest with us!
Make yourselves at home but respect the place and the surrounding area around the house. Please no street shoes, ESPECIALLY on the gallery with the glass floors.
No smoking allowed.
No pets allowed.
You are most welcome to do a bonfire in the backyard but please ask before doing so.
We are a multi-culti family who loves to travel and enjoys spending time with friends, family and with the community. We've settled into this old farmhouse in the middle of the village and yet we've got plenty of open space behind us where we can retreat. We're still modifying our spaces here and optimizing it for those times spent with friends and family. So join us in our Green Acres life!
