This is a once in a lifetime experience! The staff is truly one-of-a-kind; special, caring people who strive to make a positive impact on their surroundings. Laura and Moses (the owners) are genuine, down-to-earth people who will help you with anything you need; Laura was phenomenal during the booking process! The area is filled with nature, animals, and the wonderful Maasai people. We were so blessed to have been matched up with the Jackson for our entire time at Mara Explorers (who just had a son, Samuel... congratulations!) and he really taught us about the Maasai people. From food, to tradition, to family, we left learning something that could never be taught in a book. The Bush camping experience was surreal, the game-drives allowed us to learn (from Jackson) what the animals were thinking, instead of just 'seeing' the animals. And we were able to see everything! The food was 5-star throughout our stay, we are very happy we chose to get the "full board" option. Fred, David the whole culinary team exceeded all expectations! I only have one piece of advice for anyone looking to visit... STAY FOR AT LEAST A WEEK: we did, and wish we had a few more days! a few days is simply not enough to experience this magical place. See you next time Mara Explorers !!

Hayley and I had one of the warmest Airbnb welcomes so far from Moses, Laura and the team. We were met with refreshments and lunch - a perfect treatment after a very long journey. The camp is very well set up and has a real sense of community - both local and international. The communal areas are very clean and the accommodation was spotless; we stayed in a lodge and the ablution facilities are great. Needless to say the scenery was stunning, surrounded as we were by the outer parts of the Masai Mara Reserve. Fully recommended especially as you do not feel as though you are involved with the big tourism machine surrounding the Mara - this camp is eco friendly and supports a number of projects in the local villages. p.s. they run great safaris from here, so enquire with Laura or Moses.
