Our home is a wonderful place to spend the night, and the morning before you head out and discover the area for the day. We are a Bed & Breakfast, not a "resort", meaning we prefer that you head out after breakfast, and return n the afternoon. In the summer months, you are welcome to use our pool before 11:00am and after 5:00pm, unless prior arrangements are made. And all we ask is to leave our home in the same condition as you found it. And please enjoy your stay!

First Airbnb experience=Pleasantly surprised! Debbie and Cameron were the best hosts. Their place is an oasis in Bee Cave, TX and they go the extra mile to make the guests feel comfortable and welcome. We got great advice about the best places in the area (food, natural pools, live music) and their property is full of charming details in every corner (inside and outside the house). Thank you guys!

This little charm of a house is found hidden in the outskirts of Austin hill country but only minutes from great food, shops, local wineries/distilleries and outdoor activities. Debbie and Cameron are so warm and welcoming and a pleasure to share good conversation. They were able to recommend some great things to do and places to eat in the local area. We were not disappointed! The room was spacious and cozy. The outdoor surround grounds have several quaint seating areas to enjoy the surrounding scenic Hill country and wildlife. They have used their delightful antique collection and unique treasures to decorate their home and outdoors for an ecclectic and cozy style. We spent time just waking around admiring the decor! We also enjoyed visiting with their 2 dogs and 3 chickens. Thanks again, Red, for contributing to our breakfast!

Debbie and Cameron are phenomenal hosts with a phenomenal place. We booked last minute with no particular plans. Our main goal was just to take a break from the usual hustle. When we arrived, we were immediately impressed with their property and the natural, peaceful surroundings. Being that we didn't have anything particular plans for our stay, we asked for dinner/entertainment suggestions, and they were RIGHT ON what we were looking for... nearby lake fun! Thank you both so much for your hospitality!

After a long winter of patiently waiting for Portland to cough up a sun ball, my husband and I are exhausted from the cold and rain, trapped and restless, and tired of chicken. And so it is off to Texas hill country for us. We wind down Highway 71, take a blind left turn and find ourselves on a narrow, winding road, moving past scrub oak and cedars to Deb and Cam's property. It is a teeming world of music and stories and great food and coffee and every Texas artifact known to mankind-- longhorn skulls, rawhide rugs, horseshoes, wagon wheels, a barbed wire cross -- lovingly displayed in a way that is both endearing and familiar. A big sign painted on the garage says: Welcome, Ya'll-- and they mean it. Oddly enough, Cam and Deb are not native Texans. Cam is a California boy, and Deb is from England. And yet, they have made Austin hill country, its music, its food and its hummingbird feeders their own. The people of this world can be divided into who does and who does not think Cam needs a haircut. His face is large and handsome and filled with Greco-Roman influences. His eyes are very tender, in contrast to his easy smile and open exuberance at finding two visitors in his yard. Deb is lithe and friendly and has long flaxen hair that's made curlier by rain. She is one hell of a cook. Their porch is full of couches covered in serapes. There are more places to sit in and around Cam and Deb's house than there are people in Texas to sit in them. Easy chairs, concrete chairs, recliners, couches, a picnic table lined with buttons, and a chase longue whose cushions are filled with shreds of human decency. In the middle of the back yard is a pool that is a welcome relief on hot days, and their yard is full of treasures hand-selected at tiny stores and swap meets, each one of them a find and a tale. Cam makes it very clear his wife is a find. The story of their early love is one of many stories told throughout our stay. Stories are the filament that goes from treasure to knickknack and back again, stretching around dogs and over the heads of three hens who nest peacefully on the porch. Upstairs, we have our pick of three comfortable and artfully decorated rooms, picking one that seems just right for us. Although it is not part of the usual offering, Deb makes dinner: Salmon and asparagus and Deb's special recipe of potatoes au gratin. We are tender low carbers from the west coast, but the secret ingredient of the potatoes au gratin might be crack cocaine, and it is gone in minutes. That evening, as the sun goes down, we watch a Bruce Springsteen documentary on the porch as the white lights come on in the trees and locusts, katydids and crickets start up a lovely chorus....

Cameron and I love music. Because we live in Austin, Texas, we get to see so many great bands at many of the great venues here. We love to collect unique knick knacks at estate sales and local thrift stores. Cameron is an advertising freelance creative director and copywriter, and Debbie runs an online e-commerce site. Cameron is a hot rod/custom car nut and always has a project. We both work from home, so we are always available to assist with our guests. One of the many reasons we host on Airbnb is that we love to meet new and interesting people, and we have certainly been able to do that in the last few years. We both left the corporate lifestyle about 4 years ago, to enjoy more of life. We used to live to work, now we work to live. And we enjoy every minute of it. Come hang out with us on our patio, and tell us a few stories.
