I would highly recommend Cynthia's place to anyone looking to stay in the Northern Vermont/Burlington area. She made myself and my girlfriend feel very welcome. We could enter and leave as we pleased, the room was super clean and neat, and she even gave us free maple syrup! She made a fantastic baked oatmeal, coffee, and great conversation. 10/10 would stay there again.

Cynthia was an absolutely great host, easy to coordinate with, and very helpful. Her place and the room were exactly as described and she was easy going and fun to talk with. The room itself was clean, fresh, and comfy. Her dog Sadie is quite the beauty and super friendly without being overbearing. The highlight of staying with Cynthia was the delicious breakfast of baked oatmeat and fresh locally sourced fruits/eggs/etc. I would certainly stay again. The location is not directly off a major highway/thoroughfare and takes a small amount of back country road to get to, but this was not important to us since it is beautiful country to drive through.

The room was very clean and beautifully decorated. She was timely and welcoming, and provided us with very delicious baked oatmeal in the mornings. Gave us plenty of room to ourselves, but was also friendly.

The house was spotless, including my room and bathroom, however, I didn't feel welcome at all at the house, Cynthia started off being friendly and made a great breakfast, however, when I asked a couple of questions, including if there was a bath plug and if she could give me directions to the lake to swim, she responded that my question had to be quick, as she was in a rush; my question was quick, then she gave me a lecture on the pollution of the lake ( Lake Champlain.) And, told me to drive into Burlington and find a park. I wish I could have done, but phone wouldn't connect to (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) maps. I had asked Cynthia for directions before my arrival, and she wrote she couldn't possible write out directions. My friend who could get coverage drove in her vehicle, she drove had already drove from Connecticut, and I followed her, otherwise I would never been able to find the house, especially in the dark. When I told Cynthia that her house was hard to find she asked if I had AT&T, and explained there were no cell phone towers in the area, which is quite beautiful, but quite remote. I stayed for three nights, and felt each day that Cynthia didn't want me in the house. I am a great guest, I am respectful, clean, quite and overall very considerate. I was told the bathroom was mine, but she would be taking showers. By the last day it seemed as if her showers were a priority over me using the bathroom. I ended up feeling very uncomfortable in the house. I even left on the Sunday, a day I planned to stay quietly at the house reading in my room, or perhaps in the garden, which is basically a large communal garden, but very beautiful. However, I had the distinct feeling Cynthia didn't want me in the house, as I didn't feel welcomed at all. I would not recommend this staying here, even though the house and the room is immaculate, and the bed is comfortable, because I felt so unwelcome, especially compared to all the wonderful hosts I have had in the past. It would have been easy for Cynthia to write up a few directions from the main road to her home, and easy to tell me a few local places to visit, but neither of these were offered. I was extremely disappointed, and felt incredible uncomfortable. I was given a lecture the last morning of not giving Sadie, her sweet dog any food, or snacks. I replied I hadn't and wouldn't as I have pets, then I received a lecture how other guests had. I honestly would not recommend staying here, and if you have AT&T, or Credo, my phone service, you will not easily find this house anyway. I wish I could have written a stellar review, but this is my truth; it was a very unpleasant experience overall.

Great Place!! A very welcoming host, and made us feel very comfortable. Amazing breakfast, a delightful area (walking trails, backyard, little town). Sadie was such a lovely dog, too! We'd definitely come back next time we vacation here. Thanks, Cindy!

Cynthia was great. My schedule was in flux, I was arriving late & leaving at the wee hours. She was most gracious. Her place is clean, tidy & most welcoming. I highly recommend staying with Cynthia.

Cynthia and Sadie were the perfect hosts, exceeding both my husband and my expectations. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood which is across the street from trails through the woods. We did not have time for exploring them this trip. Hope to in future visits. The home is immaculate and very welcoming. It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Cynthia made us her "famous" baked oatmeal. It was delicious. She was more then happy to share her local knowledge of the area, restaurants, ski resorts, orchards etc.....She also has a wealth of knowledge about New Hampshire, which she calls home. She is very well travelled and it was fun to exchange stories about various places which we had both been to. Can't recommend this place enough!! It exceeded our expectations and we hope to make it our regular place to stay whenever we head to Vermont to visit our son who is attending school in the area. Really feel like we made new friends in both Cynthia and her dog Sadie. And, in case you are wondering, Sadie is THE BEST behaved dog I have ever met and oh, so sweet.
