At Home in Asheville! Nestled in the woods and within walking distance to Beaver Lake, our studio apartment is convenient to downtown, I26, and UNC Asheville. Clean and private with a fully stocked kitchenette. Luxury linens. Fresh flowers. Come retreat with us. Fresh baked sourdough bread (request in advance).
Come enjoy the quiet seclusion of our studio apartment, conveniently located in an upscale neighborhood in Asheville. Nestled in a wooded area, this apartment is three miles from downtown and less than half a mile to the interstate (easy drive to Biltmore Estate and great hiking). The apartment boasts a fully stocked kitchen (stove top, microwave, refrigerator, though no oven), a plush queen size bed, a private bathroom with shower, leather love seat, large closet, outdoor hammock, off-street parking, and a private entrance with covered porch. Idyllic Beaver Lake is a half-mile walk through the neighborhood (no lake view from apartment). At the lake, guests can fish (catch and release only), walk/jog (1.5 mile loop), picnic on the large grassy areas, and/or enjoy the sunset. Free parking available at the lake and the nearby bird sanctuary if you prefer to drive.
This studio apartment (400 square feet) feels spacious with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, lovely porch, and quiet view of trees. The kitchen includes a refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot (with coffee), and stove top (no oven). We've stocked the cabinets for light cooking, and we keep some condiments in the fridge. High thread count linens and the most comfortable bed are included with this rental. We live upstairs, so if you need anything please just knock on our door. Otherwise, we will allow you to enjoy the total privacy this studio offers. LGBTQ+ friendly space.

Échanges avec les voyageurs
When you arrive we will be available to greet you and answer any questions you have about the area. We offer guests total privacy, and the set up of the apartment allows for this. You enter your space on the opposite side of the house from where our entrance is. We are always accessible by phone or text if you need anything during your stay.
Please leave the studio in the same condition you found it. If you require supplies that are not available, let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
We have a small outdoor cat that lives on the property (Midnight), but she does not go inside the rental space and linens for the rental do not come in contact with the cat. Most guests never even see our cat. She prefers to bask in the sun on our front porch or to disappear into the woods to do what cats do.
Guests must be able to navigate stairs. Several steps, spaced out, make up our stone and mulch path.
No smoking or vaporizing on the property please. Service animals only.
Before my husband and I married, we dreamed up Asheville as a perfect home: hiking, laid back people, cooler temperatures with endless sun, thriving art scene, incredible local food movement and, of course, beer culture. In 2011, life dealt us the incredible gift of a professor position at UNC Asheville; we packed our family and drove from Tucson, AZ to these mountains. We are a young family who enjoys playing outdoors, cooking big meals, reading, drawing, writing, and telling stories. We remain in love with all that this region has to offer, and we pride ourselves for knowing about the great entertainment options happening around town (many of which are free). We look forward to hosting you in Asheville soon.
