Babb, Montana, États-Unis

Babb is a very small, quiet town in a valley below the gate to Glacier National Park's Many Glacier area, and the Canadian border. It is home to a mixture of Blackfeet tribal members, cattle ranchers, Glacier Park personnel, and US Border protection agents and officers. The children here attend a school with two classrooms, split into k-2 and 3-6 grades, comprised of 28 students. High school kids bus to Browning. Some families send their children up to Alberta for school. Everyone knows everyone here, and most of us are related. Winters are extremely harsh and make for some pretty tough folks! The summer months bring millions of visitors to our little town which changes the dynamic a great deal. Welcome to our little slice of Paradise!

I'm a hobby-ranching mamma, homesteading on the Montana frontier. I love gardening, raising livestock, cooking, hiking, pounding on my piano, and playing with my kids and grand-kids. This is my fourth season hosting summer vacation homes, and I have found the operation of my two guest homes to be very fulfilling. I hope to make it a great experience for guests, and that everyone who stays here leaves having fallen in love with Glacier.

Durant votre séjour
Though I prefer to give us all our space, I do understand there may be questions or emergencies where you might need to contact me. I am outside away from the phone working on my farm a lot in the summer so text messaging me is probably the best way to reach me. Though you may not be able to get an immediate response, I will get back to you as soon as I see your message. Cell service is also very limited in the valley, only Verizon is available, so please keep that in mind for your trip. There is a landline at this guest house and wifi for your use.
If you would like to arrange a time to visit my personal farm and interact with my animals let me know and I'll see if it's something I can fit in. We have horses, cattle, sheep, ducks, goats and various working dogs. If you would like to go on a horse ride, my capable ranch-kid, Soren, can work something out with you for a reasonable fee. If your looking for a glimpse of life on a family farm, this is as real as it gets!
Of course, even though we are out in the rugged mountains here, we do have emergency services. Please call 911 if you're broken or bleeding.
