Comfortable home nestled in a forest setting. Walk into Caribou Targhee National Forest which is contiguous to hiking trails in Jedediah Smith Wilderness and Grand Teton NP. Ski at Grand Targhee (22 miles), visit West Yellowstone (87 miles) or Jackson, WY (45 miles) or fish at Henry's Fork (41 miles). Groceries and excellent restaurants are in Driggs, 12 miles to the south.
This house is about 15 minutes north of Driggs and is ideal for guests seeking a quiet and spacious retreat. It is a full time vacation home.
Covered parking is available for one vehicle. The house has a spacious upstairs master bedroom with a queen bed and a large shower. A washer and dryer are also available.
There's also a tree fort for the kids. The bunkhouse across the driveway is under construction and should not be entered.
The downstairs has two bedrooms. The kitchen has a microwave, and gas stove/oven. Dishes are washed the old fashioned way, in the sink. A futon upstairs sleeps two (and brings the total bed count to 4).
Verizon mobile service works best at the house. AT&T mobile service works with the Microcell for registered numbers. Others may (or may not) work. TV with HDMI cable to connect your laptop but no over the air reception.
Outdoor firepit and two decks. Large BBQ grill.
To accommodate groups larger than will fit into three beds, there are 2 or 3 air mattresses with extra sheets and pillows plus the futon.
90 minutes to West Yellowstone, 45 minutes to Grand Targhee skiing, 60 minutes to Jackson Hole and Grand Teton NP. 45 minutes to Harriman State Park, home of Henry's Fork (arguably the best fly fishing in the country).
Accès des voyageurs
There's a lockbox mounted on the wall next to the door. I will supply the code a few days prior to arrival.
Échanges avec les voyageurs
Guests will be largely responsible to amuse themselves, but I am available by phone and email.
Driggs is the nearest town with all kinds of rentals for bike, boat, ski, snowmobile, fishing equipment etc. It also has a large grocery store and health food store. Many things in town are closed Sundays. Plan accordingly.
The Tetons are not directly visible from the house but can be seen with a short walk down the dirt road.
If you would like to bring a pet, they cannot be left alone in the house unless in a cage. One is provided in the living room.
